Next 4 Fixtures
« on February 11, 2023, 10:17:35 am by Campsall rover »
Will go a long way towards where we end up.

Swindon A
Barrow.  H
Sutton.   A
Bradford H

All in and around us points wise.  Pick up a significant haul from these 4 games and we are in a great position for the last 12 games run in.

If it goes badly then we are very unlikely to get into that top 7 imo.

If we carry on how we have so far this season we are likely to win 2 & lose 2 which tbf wouldn't be a total disaster from those 4 fixtures.

I should have said next 5 games.  Stockport A is the 5th
We really need to win 3 of those 5 and ideally draw the other 2.  Well ideally winning all 5 would be preferable.

We would all snap anyones hand off for 11 points from those 5
If we get 10 then I will be very happy and 9 would keep us in the hunt.  2 wins 3 draws would be better than 3 wins and 2 defeats. Both 9 points but the 2 losses would mean those teams gain ground on us.

Anyway 1 game at a time. We need something this afternoon. Gone for a draw today.

Very tough 5 games. Could quite easily be 1 or 2 points only. Shambles at the back and a headless chicken up front. All hope these days rests on Kyle Hurst doing it week in week out.

Two clean sheets in a few days = shambles in defence?

Come on Padge.  We are 2 points off the play offs after those previous 27 game. We are still 2 points off after today.
If you can’t take any positives from that and our performance today then well as IDM said WTF

I've commented in the other thread we were good today. Needs to stick with that back 3 and stop messing around putting Rowe there and Oluwu is better than Williams.

Original comment was how we have been a shambles at the back all season.

Play like that and we're a decent striker away from going up.

Ok fair enough.
But I think Miller is a decent striker at this level. He scored 9 in the 1st 19 games.
He is going through a lean spell at present and will be a little short of confidence. Winning these last two games will take the pressure off him a little because as long as someone is scoring and we are winning then that should help.
Once he gets 1 he will go on to get quite a few I suspect.
Look at Molyneux today. Not 1 goal all season then 2 in 3 mins. Goals are like buses they all arrive in quick succession and then you don’t see one for ages.

Miller has now scored 2 in 15 games, drawing a blank in 14 of those 15 games.

If he isn’t scoring he is still contributing. He will score very soon, just a matter of time.

For the biggest part of those 15 games he hasn't been provided with the scoring opportunities.  Now, if the form from the last game and a half continues he will get those chances and I have no doubt will get back to his scoring ways.

Like some above have said, even when he isn’t scoring he’s a massive part of the team and his overall play is still very good. He’s still getting in the positions so the goals will eventually come for him, there’s also less pressure on him now because we’ve got others scoring goals, Hurst scoring goals regularly, close chipping in with a few, Lavery goals was in good form before signing so will be confident, Lakin scored 2 in a behind closed doors game against Bolton, molyneux will hopefully start banging them in more often now and also got Rowe and Olowu back from injury who are both good for a few goals. I’d rather have 3/4 players who get between 10 and 12 goals a season than one player who gets 25-30.

I reckon Miller likes the going good to firm, he'll come back into form as the pitches harden up towards the end of the season.
