Wouldn’t it be great

If the board surprised us all by putting in a bid for Tshimanga of Chesterfield, paid a fee for him, and put to bed the impression there is no ambition at our club.
Money plus a few of our players, thus getting some off the wage bill. Really impressed with this guy. Had very few opportunities against Chelsea as you would expect, but when he got the opportunity he was cool, calm and collected and Chesterfield ended up scoring.

Either him or Kyle Wooton who is contracted until June 2022. It would show that the board mean business, in rebuilding the right way. If we saw this type of ambition it would give us hope.
We are not really in the market for tried and tested players. If we could get Wooton for say a hundred grand because his contract runs out in six months, that would be good business, seeing as though he has interest in him.
I would prefer a signing like him, rather than Marquis.

Neither of those two strikers would leave a team doing well in the Conference to join a team struggling in League One knowing that they could be in the same division next season or they could get a move to a bigger club

Would also love to see such ambition but unfortunately will never happen.

Tshimanga will go for big money, Hearts are apparently interested. You'd be looking at £750k plus which I doubt we can  afford.

I watched quite a few Scunny games the other year when Kyle Wootton played. He's like a slightly more aggressive Cukur. Atrocious player and not league quality. He's done OK at Notts to be fair but having seen a lot of Kyle Wootton in the flesh and then saying that between him and Cukur it would be hard to pick who i'd want, i think that gives you an indication as to my view on him.

If we are signing players like Kyle Wootton then God help us.

Also why would the Chesterfield lad come to us? Not that much of a step up right now is it?

If we take the k off the fee we might be able to afford him.

Cameron Archer from Villa would be great.

On loan is probably do-able. 6 in 4 this season against League One opposition in the EFL Trophy.

I doubt we could afford a better deal for him than he is on at Chesterfield, and I would have to fancy Chesterfield to do well next season in Lg.2 I am none too sure Rovers will do the same.

Since that we've played him out of position, messed up his back and potentially letting him leave for nothing.

Said it before, we should have taken a chance on Tshimanga whilst he was banging in the goals at Boreham Wood - much more affordable then, unfortunately out of our reach now.

Did we not pay a nominal fee for Bogle?

Not sure that is what they meant when they described him as a “nominal signing”.

Maybe they meant an abominominal signing?
