Mcsheffrey Salary

This one is for SM (and if something he's not comfortable in answering I understand 100%) it has been mentioned the budget/salary for the manager is that indeed and was explained as the not cheap option.

Is Mcsheffrey on an equal salary to that of his predecessors: Wellens/Moore/Mcann and Ferguson?

I've excluded Butler as he was a player also.

Would love to know this.

This cheap option for me has nothing to do with the manager’s salary, for me it appointing someone who won’t push or challenge the board to strive to make the club the best it can be and I believe that’s why the board chose GM as he is a yes man . His comments this weekend summed it up about if we go do ( If we do we do )

Agreed Anton - and it's honestly not meant in the "cheap option dig" it's more of a can we afford to fire another manager?

I’d say easy option. Already at the club knows everyone and means less of a risk on a relatively unknown character/personality.

If you look back to the interview he gave when he was appointed he was asked that very question and he gave that as an answer.

People ask a question, SM gives a straightforward polite answer & some don’t like it.  He’s on the same wage end of.
I’d guess as the development lead GMc wasn’t on a great salary. Would you risk your job ( which is secure) for a similar paid one where the sack is potentially a game away? Beam me up Scotty.

Doesn’t make sense to me. When Wellens took charge he’d had 3 managerial jobs and about 150 games experience. McSheffrey had had zero managerial experience. To pay him the same as his predecessor is at best shortsighted and at worst incompetent. In any role, the candidate should be paid a wage based on ability and experience. McSheffrey didn’t have any demonstrable value in either.
