Good luck to him, hope he learns and becomes a better defender. Nothing wrong with his attitude and decent going forward.
He was I will add still a better option than Jackson in my opinion

Agreed, I'm still surprised & disappointed we didn't give him another year, particularly given relegation.

Despite being positive going forwards he’s a massive defensive liability in my opinion. Teams would target him.

Hopefully the move is good for him but I don’t think he’s up to standard for us.

Yep thought he was worth a contract but hope he gets sorted at chesterfield and makes a career of it.

A lot of senior pros come out of this season looking a lot worse than he did imo and many of them are still with us

I'm hoping the only reason we got rid was because we have targeted an experienced left back to come straight into the team, It seemed a shame that he was not given another year, i thought he looked like he still had some development in him, how much would he have cost us? not a lot i'd wager, hope he gets fixed up soon and does not come back to bite us in the ass.

Good luck to him I hope he gets a contract there. It’s down to us now to ensure we get a quality left back in of our own,

A bit conspiracy-theorist I know but the roots of our demise over the past couple of years do seem to have coincided with our inability to acquire a proper left back.

Here’s hoping that the next few weeks delivers.

He might well be playing in the league when we are not, good luck Brandon.

I’m sure if gets set on by Spirerites will do well & is young enough to develop into a good league footballer.

I've been reliably informed Horton left the club for personal reasons, not professional. Not been told any more than that mind.

How could we possibly get relegated when we’ll have support from the likes of yourself? It’s like a constant wall of joy.

This feels like a good move for Horton. If they can regain the form they were showing prior to appointing an experienced manager in Paul Cook, then they should be up there.

I’m not doubting this but what personal reasons could there be.
It can’t have been location as he’s joined a club down the road.

Wasn’t it our decision to release him?

Well his contract expired, but I can't imagine he was on much, so might have extended his deal. Maybe he fell out with McSheffrey? He vanished rather quickly from the squad.

There was that issue with a few of the younger players joking about relegation at the gym. Maybe that crossed a line for GM.
