« on November 01, 2017, 07:05:35 pm by legendslounger »
heard from a club official in the legends lounge last night that rotherham have sold out their 3300 allocation and have asked for another 1000.

hope we can bring a good crowd too to make it a great atmosphere

And the rest. Would be disappointed with less than 11/11500.

They haven't sold 3300 , they have sold there initial allocation of 2600 and been given a further allocation of 1000.

I can't help but feel we should have had this game as a local promotion with something like £10 tickets in the home end, especially with it being on Sky.

Still, it'll be nice to have the stadium full enough again, just like it was in the good old days of 8/9 years ago.

It's probably worth reminding everyone that it's a 12:30 kick off.

with it being on Sky, i would doubt the home support will be much above 7,000 unless they give plenty of tickets away

I wouldn’t be too sure tbh Bezza as this season the crowds t home have seem to be decent and it is rotherham after all plus if we win Saturday then that’s 3 wins in a row (yes I know, 2 in the cups) but still, some people might come because of that.

was over 10 years ago - Rovers won 3-2 at the Keepmoat in a League One tie - Heffernan scored 2 and Graham Lee got 1.

We've only played them 4 times this century! 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss, all in League One.

We've actually only beaten Rotherham at their place once in my lifetime, back in 1985!

Bloody hell as if it’s been that long ago. Was that the game when Martin woods scored that screamer for them?

I’ve got to say BJW, it’s still a corker of a goal now. Shame he had so many injuries when he joined us because he was great that day for them.

I was there in 1985. What a day that was! A screamer from Ray Deans won it for us. Right in front of the away end.

Last time I went to Millmoor we got done in last minute, Heff was wrongly sent off and Steve Roberts got dumped on his head. The useless arse of a referee only booked the bloke who did it.

Certainly wasn't a hat trick. Dougie got one.

I remember the first and only time I went to Rotherham, was a thoroughly miserable result.

Firstly Heffs got sent off for having the audacity to get ploughed over just inside the box (if I remember rightly the ref thought it was Guy, whose reputation went before him, and pulled out the yellow card before realising his mistake, by which time it was too late and he had to send off the already booked Heffs). Then to really twist the knife in, Lee Williamson got an injury time winner. Let's hope we have better luck this time round.

Yes remember the sending off well the ref graham Salisbury admitted after the game that he'd realised he made a bad mistake by sending Heffs off as it should have been a penalty for Rovers 😢

cant believe that but if it’s the case I was there we won 3-2 with I think ray deans scoring 2 a the 3rd goal ball getting stuck in the top corner Stanction

Hopefully the November handicap won't keep many people away from the keepmoat, going to be a busy day in DTC.
