Title: Hallelujah
Post by: Park Rover on February 17, 2018, 04:42:25 pm
Has the penny dropped Fergie, round pegs in round holes, players playing in a formation suited to their skills. Enough said. Actually looking forward to the Rotherham game now (unless the tactical genius decides to alter it again 😜)

What about the square peg in the round hole at left back??

yes, can’t ask too much can we. Changing formation wouldn’t have been easy for him , but at least Rowe was further forward and we had a recognised right back on the pitch in Alcock

Can’t moan about the result so let’s whine about the Manager. Comical.

Agree but he played well there. I'm sure he wouldn't choose to play there.

Much more balance and strength to that side today. McCullough was key imo.

Absolutely over the moon with the result, but you are right about the manager. He has tinkered with the team and formations and positions of the players far too many times this season. If he hadn’t where would we be in the league ? Far higher I would suggest. But glad you find that comical , I certainly do not

Not a Mason fan but to be fair to the lad he had  a great game today both on the left and covering on the right

Mason was Man of the Match for me, was excellent and if he played like that every week at left back we'd have no problems getting to the end of the season without using Garratt.

Garrett wasn’t even on bench today. Injured? Or DF seriously does not rate him.
Mason though was like a man possessed today. Unbelievably good.

The dropping of Houghton, whiteman was key today , the pair have been dragging their heals and have looked to play with little purpose and without them today it flowed better and there was a more determined look about the midfield with Luke and Alex looking like new signings . Beastin in midfield was brilliant. Though the opposition was poor it was a combined effort of midfield and forwards that made the difference including great goals from central a defender.

I wish we did have 47!

Luke was brilliant and Copps played out of his skin, so much energy too. There was a worrying period of hoofing it up to Kiwomya which failed every time. Better opposition may have punished us, he needs it in the floor or to run in behind, no use him competing against a centre half, and he didn't tbh.

Loved copps movment for the 3rd goal running back to the halfway line then just turning back towards goal the look on the Fleetwood players face  as he kept running towards the halfway line priceless

I think the OP is actually praising Ferguson, not moaning about him.
