''HOUSING RETROFIT UPDATE - WOODLANDS

Since 2021 Doncaster Council have secured a total of £13.6m of housing retrofit funding, and following completion of Wave 1 of our Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund scheme, we are now gearing up to begin works on our Wave 2 programme.
Wave 2 will utilise £6.6m of UK government funding to carry out thermal efficiency improvement works to 370 properties over the next 16 months, works commenced in Woodlands in January.
Today our Cabinet member for Sustainability and Waste Mark Houlbrook had the opportunity to visit Woodlands with Dominic from Doncaster Council Sustainability Unit to meet up with contractor Louis from Wates Group to observe and discuss progress. 74 homes will completed by the end of March.

Is this anything to do with them fastening sheets of insulation to the outside of houses to try and make them more energy efficient? Before my old Mum died I saw them doing it on Windmill Balk Lane when I was up there every day for several years
