Personally I thought that was an excellent interview that ought to quell fears being currently mentioned. He has obviously got numerous targets in addition to Given, Sharp etc. I am quiet sure that there will be quality additions before next week and may not be those being branded about currently. All appears well in the camp and certainly no panicking.  Bring it on

Once again, I thought PD was excellent in that interview (as he has been in all the interviews I have heard). I like what he says, so let's hope he also gets it right on the pitch...

Fantastic speaker. Really enjoyed that, even from the little time I spent with him at the open day you could see that he is an influence on people, he is one of those people who you listen too when he speaks. I tell you something too.... I wouldn't want to cross him!! I bet he can be a fiery buggar.

McCombe out for two to three months - bit short at the back aren't we?

I think we are short on numbers everywhere except midfield

In terms of the way he talks, his positivity and everything else he reminds me a bit of Billy Bremner.
The accent may have something to do with it, of course, but there seems to be an inner steel there - much like his famous predecessor.

A very good interview, as with any new manager the has my backing and I must say i'm warming to him more and more.

I was thinking though, had SOD talked for that long i'd have been asleep for a week

Have to say he sounds like he knows what he he's doing, but doesn't know what is happening at the club. Sounds like something big is about to happen and he's going to be surprised by it. That's just going on his tone of voice at the end of that interview.

What is it I wonder.

Of course he knows what is going on and he met with one of the potential investors when the club was in Portugal.

Surprised no one has mentioned it could be September/October before the Forrester situation is sorted out.

Surprised no one has mentioned it could be September/October before the Forrester situation is sorted out.

He said it may not get to a tribunal before September/ October. At the moment we can't play him because we haven't agreed a fee with Brentford or agreed to accept the tribunal's ruling. I got the feeling we're going to have one last go at Brentford (who are probably holding out because they think we're about to come into money!) and if they say no we will go to the tribunal.

As I recall we didn't get the verdict from Kyle Bennett's tribunal until several weeks into the season, but we were able to play him in the meantime.

Perhaps the fact that Forrester appears to be injured removes some of the urgency to resolve the issue straight away.

What makes you think that, Michael?  Why not resolved in August?

BTW, I'm pretty sure Kyle Bennett was in our first team before the tribunal fee was reached.

Correct Rob, Bennett signed in July 2011 and the tribunal was not held until September 2011 - by which time he had played 7 games for us.

Mr Frost ..  the  Forrester indemnity is what was referred to ...likely to go to tribunal in September or October ... .There is nothing preventing Forrester from playing just as Benett played and the transfer indemnity was settled moths later .

Thanks Wilts and Graing.  I was pretty sure that was the case.

So, potentially the only reason we've not seen him in the hoops is the ankle knock.  Maybe today is the day.....

Maybe he isn't allowed to play for insurance reasons until he has actually signed.

Could be.  I'll see if I can find out what the hold up is.  Hopefully he's cleared to play and its just the slight knock keeping him out.
