This site shows you our away following this season. Averaging 954 so far this season.

Nobody went to Ipswich?
-
No Blackpool either so our average is probably quite a bit lower than that.
-
At least we don't have the lowest following...
-
Not far off.
Surprising in Peterborough, especially considering what they get at home.
-

There's no Millwall (365), Ipswich (250?) but also no Barnsley (2800?)
Net effect probably ups the average, not decreases it.
-
Not sure where you're lookng but Barnsley is on there, so is Millwall. Ipswich and Blackpool aren't.
We took 2300 to Barnsley.

I stand corrected - I went straight to the source figures below to work out our home attendances this season, and these conversely haven't been updated.
-
There was a good turn out at Blackpool for a wet miserable Tuesday night game.
-
Following some number crunching and apologies beforehand if any readers slip into unconsciousness.
Taking KMS total attendances and deducting the away attendances so far this season, our average home attendance is 7,700, which unsurprisingly is the second lowest in the league after Peterborough.
Our way support is currently (with a caveat) 954.
Taking home attendance as a measure of a team’s indicative fanbase, and comparing it to the away numbers, on average 12.32% of our support travels.
Calculating the same for the rest of the League for 2011/12 results in:
Peterborough United……….16%
Leeds United……………..…...14%
Blackpool…………………….....12%
DONCASTER ROVERS…………..12%
Palace…………………….…......12%
West Ham………………….......12%
Leicester………………….....…11%
Boro……………………….........11%
Millwall……………………….....11%
Portsmouth……………….....…10%
Barnsley……………………......10%
Birmingham………………......10%
Brighton…………………….....10%
Southampton……………….....9%
Hull…………………..………......8%
Forest……………………….......8%
Ipswich…………………….......7%
Derby………………………........7%
Burnley…………………….......7%
Watford……………….........6%
Bristol City………………....6%
Coventry………………….......6%
Cardiff…………………….......5%
Reading…………………….......5%
So in terms of our actual fanbase, we’ve the joint third best away support in the League.
Elsewhere, it’s a big cheer to Peterborough, and boos to Reading, Cov and Watford who obviously can’t be bothered. I suspect Cardiff my suffer due to geography (see also Bristol City) and availability of away tickets (they could have taken more than 361 to Leeds I’d have thought.)
The caveat is the inclusion of our Ipswich and Portsmouth figures, which would drop us a few places. However, without knowing the figures for other teams’ missing games, I can’t adjust likewise.
-
These are the figures I have:
OPPONENTS Away att.
Brighton & Hove Albion 1,443
Derby County 847
Cardiff City 276
Reading 455
Peterborough United 1,064
Blackpool 492
Portsmouth 369
Ipswich Town 260
Barnsley 2,325
Millwall 268
The Pompey one is an estimate (probably an under-estimate) based on tickets sold.
That gives us an average of 780 per game.
-
That'd give us a 10% travelling support (in terms of the above table dropping us to 10th) but again with the caveat of full figures from the other teams likely moving them around as well.
-
West Ham took over 6k to Cov, that's a good turnout.
-
900 would be a decent away following for us I think. Especially considering the league position etc.
