It's interesting to think why having some success in Scotland is seemingly valued over and above having some success in England. I would have thought the former was a lot, lot easier.

I agree. But my favourable opinion of McCall and Warburton is based on their encouraging work at Bradford and Brentford respectively.

As far as Hopkin is concerned i think he's due some credit over achieving in Scotland is still overachieving. However i do think it'd be a culture shock going from managing players of the lower scottish league standard to managing players like Copps and Rowe

i'm put off by him because he reminds me a lot of fatty evans

Not sure on JFH - personally prefer McCall or Hopkin, but I'll accept and support whomever the board choose and carry on supporting the team.............next year could be a big one..

I'd take either Warburton or Hopkin - not that bothered with the others. However, that is based on nothing other than gut instinct and the type of manager I believe both of them are and how well they 'fit' what our Board are potentially looking for.

Ferguson leaving has actually come at a good time for us with the amount of good quality managers out of a job e.g McCall, Grayson, Warbuton, Heckingbottom along with some wildcards such as Hopkin and McCann.

We've got a good chance of ending up with a manager who wouldn't normally be in our reach. I just hope the board appreciate this and try and get one of those managers whilst we can rather than ending up with a manager who is pretty average in JFH.

(Not saying they won't try or knocking the board btw but just hope this is the case)

Take away Sunderland and Bradford and he has a quality record at this level and a decent Championship record too.
