Lund, Mandeville and Garratt
« on July 11, 2018, 06:35:36 pm by DonnyOsmond »
https://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/sport/football/doncaster-rovers/doncaster-rovers-lund-off-transfer-list-but-mandeville-and-garratt-told-to-find-new-clubs-1-9245560/amp?__twitter_impression=true

Lund taken off the transfer list, the other two told to find new clubs. The club have found somewhere for Mandy but his agent thinks he can get better.

Mandy been told were bringing in more up front so he'd be down the pecking order. Garratt that Amos and Andrew are ahead of him.

Hope we have sell on clause added in, especially for Mandeville.

Think that's fair did want all 3 to do well and I guess GM has give them a chance to try and prove it and only Lund has stepped up.

Fair enough for Garrett he's too old now to be 3rd choice left back and probably 5th or 6th choice centre half.

Agree on sell on clause for Liam who could come good but we've got to move on and accept it won't be here. Strange on keeping Lund after a whole season barely playing in the division below i'd of thought he'd be on the way out too

Exactly and I doubt we'll be paying up their contracts. They'll be training with the youth team till a club signs them.

Duhhh Cantley.

Not been given chance under McCann ,Garratt and Manderville only 45 mins each and a weeks training, out of the 3 Garratt was best in friendlies , almost scored set one up and defended ok calm on ball , Lund ok but couple of little mistakes , Manderville not do a deal but don’t think they given chance to impress .

THEY HAVE BEEN TOLD TO FIND NEW CLUBS!!!!!
Which part of that don't you understand?
Yes they are still under contract and yes we will still have to pay their wages until they go but they can leave tomorrow if THEY can find anyone to take them.
Seems pretty simple to me.

I think you need to explain it to everyone in the world. It sounds like it's you who doesn't understand.

They are contracted to the club.
The club aren't paying up their contract.
If another club wants them they must agree a fee with us even if we're happy to take nothing there still needs to be an agreement. We can ask what we like.

I hope it works out for everyone, if we get better in then great, if they leave and do well elsewhere great. I don't know if we could impose a sell on clause in the circumstances, but I would if we could.

Are you really that stupid? If we have told a player to go and find another club do you really think anyone is going to pay us a penny?
How on earth do you think we can ask for a fee for a player we want rid of.

Yes, you're right. Nobody ever asks for a transfer fee for a player they don't want anymore, ever. :silly:

What do I need luck for?

PS Those players that Sunderland and Barnsley have told to get another club, how many of them do you think we can pick up for nothing?

I doubt we would pick them up for nothing as they will want a signing on fee. I would be amazed however if Sunderland or Barnsley got a penny off us.

And while Mandeville and Garrett are still under contract with Rovers, there has to be an agreement between the two clubs as to the terms of any transfer. That means Rovers can still - if they want to - ask for a sell-on clause even if we don't ask for any transfer fee. Got it?

Just because a new manager comes to a club and tells a player he's not in his plans, it doesn't mean that the player suddenly has no value at all!

Christ, it's like showing a dog a card trick.

I will wait with interest then to see which clubs we get any money from and what the sell on clause is.
I have a feeling though I will have a very long wait.
