That's what it feels like to me!

Anyone else?

I'm sure if someone came along who had the best interests of the club at heart, had the money to sustain it going forward and had a decent business plan then TB and DW would be willing to sell. They showed that in the summer.

In that sense, I suppose the club is "up for sale" but I don't see any potential buyers on the horizon, do you?

You could argue that the club is always for sale, in the right circumstances.

I don't see how you've come to this conclusion though?

We have, it appears, a great off-field set up.  Yet at the moment a squad with plenty of quality players at this level is inconsistent for performances and results.  This many say is Dickov's fault, and perhaps the players' too.  Some fans are more patient with PD than others, and it appears the board will not make knee jerk reactions.  Invariably should the poor form become consistent poor form then no one would be surprised to see PD replaced eventually.

How do the on the field problems translate to the club being for sale - I am interested in how you came to that conclusion?

Static on the field or off the field?

Still not sure how that means you think we're up for sale?  Not having a go, just curious.

The "cost cutting" (or reduction in the playing budget) is inevitable when you drop from the Championship to League One, because of the sharp reduction in TV income. We're not the only club struggling to come to terms with this.

I'm in agreement with the OP. I feel were up for sale but only because of what has gone in the summer, ie selling to someone with the club's best interests at heart.

It's hardly a secret that the owners are willing to sell if the offer is in the best interests of the club is it?
Pointless thread.

I think you would struggle to get them to part with it now, especially after all the takeover shenanigans have now seemed to have settled down.

What cost cutting has there been other than that of a club going from the Championship to League One?

I disagree... Reckon they'd happily sell for the right price.

As far as I am aware he is currently a member of staff & reports of him being made redundant were at least premature.

Besides, restructuring doesn't mean cost cutting.

Can the trust find out the reason why Steve has been made redundant?

I guess it's the same reason that anyone gets made redundant - the position is no longer required....

Floodlights must be on a meter as today as soon as final whistle blows they were off. If they are wanting to save money why were they on in the first place plenty bright enough today.

Are we into the realms of self parody now? Surely this can't be an honest, innocent question? Maybe the account has been hacked.

I think the point that Brendan is making here is that there isn't exactly a queue of local millionaires snaking its way around Alick Jeffrey way so regardless f the club being "for sale" who would realistically want ot buy it?

Are there many out there? Kirkham, of course, but I don't think he's interested in football.

Jenny, please don't be naïve.
People get made redundant because companies want to cut costs.
It's also a device to get rid of those whose faces don't fit.
Uttley came into the latter category because of his close association with JR, likewise Dave Parker.
His departure also helps to cut costs which those in control are certainly not averse to.
Meanwhile those closer to the throne get their offices refurbished.
Apparently, most unusually, the owners were out in force yesterday.
Maybe you'll get your wish to see another employee made redundant...
If that happens don't be surprised to see a certain NCO promoted from the ranks.
Helps to keep the costs down.

Slated when they don't attend, and then slated when they do, they just can't win can they?

Surely it should be a case of the king is dead long live the king.
JR has gone so employees loyalty should be to the new regime.
As long as you are professional and not undermining or leaking confidentialities then you should be able to continue if your position is needed.
I have worked at places where although not agreeing with company policy I have had to conform hoping things would change whilst still having my say. When this becomes too much you leave.
That is how I see it.
