Memory Lane
« on September 16, 2017, 11:49:44 pm by Peebles Rover »
I know this is a bit random, but was just reminiscing with my dad about watching the Dons when they had a resurgence in the 80's. We were trying to remember the players they had. Was it Neil Turner the speedy winger? Parkinson the big forward with attitude? They had a really decent fullback too but can't remember his name? Anyone help jog our memory?

David "Nobbie" Noble. Awesome at goal kicks. At the time there was a guy called Kemp from NZ as well. Awesome. Great days at Tattersfield.

Jamie Bloem at full back, the Kiwis were Tony Kemp, Carl Hall and Vila Matuatia, Neil Turner and Mark Roache on the wings, Mark Gibbon at hooker and utility player John Evans. Also Audley and Kev Parkhouse as mentioned. Great days

Yeah Neil Turner was the winger, went to school with him - he wasn't bad at union either as that was game we played
Think he was either a copper whilst at Dons or became one after

Think Jamie Bloem was South African and was banned for steroids- is he a ref now ?
He wasn't the only player using enhancing medicines but was the only one caught
