Looking at their badge it looks like we are playing a "pub team" from the White horse not the "Idlerich" who have spent a fortune this season on ???

Got to be aware of these cut backs. Our midfielders need to provide more protection on the edge of our area before we get punished.

They took a wrong turning on the way to Turf Moor?

Poor goal to concede. Surely Mitchell should have come out and claimed that before Bonne headed it

Knackers. Soft goal. Mitchell did well but should’ve been away.

We’re doing ok though I feel.

Soft soft goal.
They’ve had the chances though. And 75% possession.

We've not created one chance all half. They've not created much either mind.

A spark is needed second half.

Try refreshing for the second half, might catch you up a bit.

We are too tired I think. Left it all on the pitch on Saturday and too many of the players weren't fully match fit for that game by all accounts.

We have to create more and compete better to get anything out of this.

To be fair they have some good players ,but we need to have a go at them in the second half

Awful first half from our lads.  Never in the game and lucky to be only one down.  Seaman looking lost in his role.  Get Knoyle on for second half.

Disappointing after Saturday- back to midfield being outplayed- we need something to lift the team and crowd and turn this around
Title: Re: Rovers v Ipswich
Post by: DRFCSouth on February 08, 2022, 08:47:30 pm
They're sitting so deep with far too much time on the ball. We're going to have to push up more, force them into mistakes and take some chances.

Far too easy for them so far.
Title: Re: Rovers v Ipswich
Post by: Lesonthewest on February 08, 2022, 08:47:42 pm
They're coming forward & cutting through us at will, we've offered nothing.

Can’t win second ball. No aerial threat defensively or attacking.
Ipswich good in possession. Rovers rushing stuff on the attack and making hasty decisions. The wrong ones.

We are at least fighting for it more, we're more organised.

Just got no quality. At all really.

And I think Anderson has been alright on commentary, certainly better than past outings I've heard him on.

Don’t think we have the legs to play like the Sunderland game twice in a week. That’s why we’ll not get out of the drop zone we will t be able to get that run we need going.

Outplayed tonight
Title: Re: Rovers v Ipswich
Post by: Colemans Left Hook on February 08, 2022, 09:46:42 pm
we might well have been outplayed but their actual goal that won it shouldnt really have happened ???goalie parried it away and the giant got in first ... where was our full back

the score says 0-1  not 1-3  or 1-4

Maybe it is lack of fitness. In the last two home games we have also shown very little composure so maybe the pressure is also getting to them.

I thought Rovers were very industrious off the ball. On the ball we were second best to them. All match. Celina ran the show and we had no one to match him.

Title: Re: Rovers v Ipswich
Post by: DRFCSouth on February 08, 2022, 09:55:21 pm
We didn't get a grip of their formation. Their centre halves had a field day. 5-10 yards of freedom everytime in possession.

That said, I think we were up against it. Ipswich should be higher in the league.

How do I describe that performance, leggy, lack lustre, tired? Think I will stick with shit with a capital S.
