Radio Sheffield reporting. Due to standing water.
-
Bloody tinpot club
-
Piss poor really but what can you do.
Wonder what happens to the touch line ban now?
-
confirmed on football heaven twitter:

-
In scheme of things probably good as we can get some of our crocks fit again for Blades.
-
b*llocks. Just about to set off
-
Could be a full strength side now against the blades
-
Annoying but there's nothing we can do.
Like said, gives us time to for Tyson, Butler, Middleton and Grant to get fit for the Blades and Dingles.
-
Does this mean DF's ban will now be the Blades game?

I would have thought so..

With the amount of rain that has come down during the night and this morning, it is no wonder all that being piled on top of what has already come. I was thinking earlier this morning that there would be little football played and a lot of hoof ball. Correct decision I believe
-
Better before the game than at half time when leading 3-1?
-
Looks like I'm staying in Scunny Wetherspoons then
-
On the one hand frustrating, but could be a blessing in disguise. Scunny are flying at the moment and I really couldn't see us getting anything.
With a bit of luck we'll have Tyson, Stuckmann and Grant back next week.
Depending on Scunny's schedule I can see it being arranged for Tuesday week.

We need to be canny regarding the rearranged fixture, they'll have to agree a date with us, we need to make sure our injuries are back and they have game time behind them, Tuesday week might be a bit early for us, I'd make them hang on longer
-
It won't be 16th. They have a game that night. 23rd looks favourite because there are a few midweek games already scheduled for March.
-
3pm no standing water. What plonker called it off? Surely a local derby can be a left a lot later. Pitch is just described as moist at the minute. Pathetic. When does everyone anticipate the rearranged fixture will be?
-
It will be a Tuesday at a guess

Not a bad thing for injury recovery etc. Gutted for the fans though. I just put the kettle on and was about to fire up Rovers World when I got an alert on Flashscore saying it was off. I feel well pissed off.
-
Wasn't Glanford Park based on a biscuit tin design? If so why didn't they just put the lid on it?

I fancy 23rd Feb. This Tuesday is too soon, Scunny play on Tuesday week and the first week of March there are scheduled midweek games (we're at Swindon).

Just back. Great day out in Scunthorpe. Me and my fellow Wiltshire Rover got all the way to 1 mile short of the M181 exit when the news came through. Only driven about 195 miles by then.
So we had to turn onto the M181, go all the way down it, round the roundabout and back up the other side, waving to the ground as we passed.
So, chaps, when you say "bugger, I was just about to set off", or "bugger, I'd got just to the outskirts of Armthorpe", I say "lucky you!". 7 hours of driving in lashing rain and, in the south, some stiff winds plus £40 of fuel.
Having said that, we conceded no goals, put on our best performance for 3 matches and got no more injuries. I managed to get a coffee with friends and another with my mum so, all in all, a good day.
-
Our day just seems to be a fraction of yours mate !! hope the next game is a saturday !!!

Wiltshire
I doth my cap Sir. RTID
-
That's better than my paltry 100 miles.
Set off from the NE at 10.45, picked up a fellow rover at 11:30 in North Yorks, picked up a further 2 near Donny and got as far as the M18 before getting a call about the game being off.
None of us even considered the game being called off.
After doing a trip around the island at the next junction it was a case of dropping off my fellow Rovers before getting Home about 3
Annoyingly if the game is rearranged for the 23rd I won't be able to attend - gutted
The only positive as has been previously mentioned is that we may have players back from injury or additions in through the loan window.
-
Had 100 miles on clock when we got postponed at Cheltenham in cup a few years ago. Then went to the rearranged match which was one of coldest nights at football I can remember.
-
The majority of us on here must have played on pitches3-4 times worse than this, no wonder there ends up fixtures piling up.
It might have done our team a favour, when we next play them, hopefully a few more of the injuries will have cleared up. The fans tend to be an afterthought, just looking at wilts example, but it's nothing new for the fans, it's expected.

All the more frustrating having just seen brief highlights of Birmingham v the Fowls. A game played in conditions somewhere between the Somme in 1916 and a Paddy Field.
