If Hume, Syers and Keegan come back in, it will be a much better contest.

I'll leave it there.

Their last League defeat was on Boxing Day. It's about time they lost one.

Win for Donny.
Hayter to get Sent Off!
Foley to Miss Kick "trying" to take a corner kick.  (Trust me I've seen him do it previously for Newport)

Obviously we'll be better placed to judge in a few days, perhaps after some sort of dream? a dead vivid one would be most helpful.

To win we need another striker and midfield player so at the present LOSE. But that can change if one or two are fit or we bring in two more(experience if possible).

My thoughts exactly.

Unfortunatley there on fire and we never beat them even when they arent on form so I cant see beyond a Yeovil win with them picking up points left right and centre.

We played them on the exact date 11 years ago at BV in a fourth round FA trophy match thay Yeovil won 5-4 and went on to win the trophy. I am not looking forward to it...

That said, we were the first side to beat Tranmere at Prenton Park for nigh on a year. Didn't we end someone else's run of some sort this season too?

Maybe, although I'm not sure but everything for me is pointing to a bad day for the Rovers. A) It's Yeovil B)They are on a good run. C) We are at home. D) It's Yeovil E)Hayter has netted 10 times for them this season in the league and Madden has found the back of the net 18 times so 28 goals from their 2 strikers after 32 games is a good return. F) It's Yeovil...

 :coat:

EDIT: Just checked and Madden has scored 17 for the Glovers (one was for Carlisle) but he has done it in only 22 games which is very, very impressive...

Was that the game where we chucked away a 3-0 lead? I was there that day. Great, now I'll be bricking it even if we're battering them.

Indeed it was. I'm sure Mr. Mayfield remembers the half time scoreline that day for some reason too :P

For some reason I remembered us being 4-0 up, but now you mention it 3-0 sounds about right, as I say even when they were dire (both games in 2007 at KMS) we couldn't beat them so I don't fancy our chances. But hey fingers crossed...

We haven't beat Yeovil since the 2003/2004 season (albeit that one was away).

I do like the look of that Lundstram kid though, and if we can get that Furman on board and get a few of our injuries sorted, then who knows?

Gonna go out on a limb, and say win!

PS, if we can do the glovers, I reckon we'll win the league!   :scarf:

Pessimists v Optimists Match Report

On paper looks to be a bit of a mis-match, however we asked both sides for their predictions and unsurprisingly everyone went for a score of Pessimists - 0 Optimists - 15.

The pessimists almost didn’t turn up as they didn’t think they had a chance and the optimists stopped off for a pint before the game as it was obviously gonna be soooooo easy.

The pessimists played a defensive 8-1-1 formation with the optimists opting for an adventurous  1-1-8 attacking line-up.
The first half was a bit of a scrum with all 22 players in one penalty area for long periods. At the break it was goal-less although the Pessimists thought that they had not done enough to get nil and the optimists just knew that it would all come good in the second half.

The Pessimists manager (Mr O’Driscoll) made some tactical changes and replaced his one forward player with a defensive midfielder, whereas the Optimists manager (Mr Ryan) went for broke and sacrificed his one man defence for a run-back goalie.
The second half adopted a similar pattern with the optimists appealing for 27 penalties, all of which were turned down by the referee Mr Kettle. The pessimists retreated that far back that they were all stood on the goal line but the optimists still could not force the ball over the line.

Final score Pessimists 0 – Optimists 0
