I find it difficult to believe ANY club is going to offer Wellens higher wages than what he was getting paid here. That might be the catch.

According to Dickov he wanted an answer from Wellens one way or the other last night, Wellens was only going on his terms and he needed time to get a replacement in, here we are 90 minutes before the window closes and nothing, no word on any Wellens deal, for me he's f**ked us about too long, time to tell him he's going no where

But if Wellens stays because a deal can't be made. It looks that stops the other two players coming in a versatile defender and a Forward so we have not got the budget to get them unless Richie goes it appears.

Was there a takeover attempt in the summer?
