Brilliant yet again from the club letting us have our say!

Also note what is said about us having a new supplier that will be announced in Feb, be amazing if we can start the new deal in the Champoinship wouldn't it!  :scarf: :bbscarf:

I'm sure there's a few parents who won't see it that way.

I really do feel strongly that we should keep the red and white hoops. For me it is one of the things that defines the DRFC "brand."

The away kit is a bit of a blank canvas, but I'd always favour a return to the African Violet and Black of the early 70s.

This seasons kit is nice, needs to be hoops nothing daft.

I still stick with my favourite which is the collared Ledger Mobility one from when we got promoted from Conference.

In fairness the club getting the fans involved with kit design and the fact that we're changing kit every year are 2 totally separate issues aren't they?

Agree 100% ... Red and White Hoops are "the" look for us. Make an evocative kit in the same way as Newcastles Black and White Stripes.

I vote every Season for African Violet and Black - but I have to concede it was probably "of the moment" to the oldies amongst us. I would like to see it win somehow and if the younger fans could see what it meant to us as a Club at the time it would probably be adopted permanently. AV & Black Hoops anyone ?

I did like the Blue and White Hoops too when we had them for a season or so

Red and white Hoops for me too. Makes it difficult to keep making it look different and so encourage more to buy but I like it as our identity.

I think that the hoops have now become our identity. They can be spotted a mile off they are so distinctive and apart from the odd Hamilton or Wigan RLFC fan they are one of ours.

With respect to design, I think the Avec kits have been some of the best we have had and unique to DRFC.  If we go with a major manufacturer (addidas, nike, puma) then generic templates are used; something which I'd be disappointed with.

Hopefully not Sondico.  Be interested to see who we partner with.

I do understand frustrations regarding the yearly change, but most clubs do that now.  You do, however, have the option of buying it or not.

That's the conundrum. Being asked to redesign your identity, your brand, every season. MacDonalds, Heinz? A strong brand is instant recognition and we have that above most clubs.

Our shirts can be spotted in crowds very easily. Take the chap at the Cricket in South Africa, the Rovers supporters at the Malaysian? Grand prix etc etc.

Only yesterday referring to the youth of football to reclaim your heritage....the brand, the hoops are our heritage. Let's not play about with the brand it's ours, it's on the badge, it's on the steam loco name plate.

Stick with the same please! It's our identity.

totally agree with the hoops, would love a retro design to go with it.

Wonder who the new supplier is?

I am one to keep the hoops too.  I also like the combo with white shorts.

I'd like to see a return to green in the change kit too.

How do you design them on the computer? Any one got links to websites/programs to use.

Do the club give the person with the winning design a free shirt? May be an incentive that would get more people designing?..

I remember going to see Hamilton Accies in about 2003. I wore my Rovers shirt and the locals thought I was one of them. Until I opened my mouth, that is!

I think I'll need to print the PDF, splodge some crayola over the page then scan it back into another PDF.

If it wasn't changing then it wouldn't need redesigning would it?

Personally I don't mind it changing every year as I'm old enough not to feel the need to buy it, but I appreciate there are some fans who find it incredibly frustrating.

I also like to move to white shorts and socks with red trim. Going back to black shorts now would seem a bit of a fudge to me.

I think it would be cool to have the hoops similar to this but in red obviously, or some sort of patturn in the red hoops, be something different, maybe with a retro button collor. just wish I knew how to design something myself.

I have to say I like my hoops big and bold. And straight rather than squiggly.

I would stick to the hoops but with a retro collar in red, as for African Violet away.. well I remember going to Exeter for a Saturday night game when we got promoted in 66, all the way for a 0-0 and could not see anything because of the shirt colours plus we had been on Scrumpy in Torquay all day. I think that plain shirts do not sell very well because clubs see them as wearable with jeans etc in Summer months (probably under a raincoat)  football shirts now are a fashion thing and not just to identify people's choice of club I believe

We've waited long enough, surely it's time to bring it back...
