Unless we are in the Championship next season - and even then it looks unrealistic - we are highly unlikely to be signing Ennis permanently. As we have no contracted strikers of our own, we do need to acquire some strikers at some point. They could be supplemented by loan players but when Ennis goes we do need to replace the lad.

I’ve no issue with anyone, but when teams like Scunthorpe, Fleetwood, Swindon and Mansfield can put more into it there’s got to be questions asked if your owners seriously want championship football.  Why sign Bingham and Thomas???? Simple answer there cheap.  Why didn’t we sign the two strikers?? Because we won’t pay a good wage and success will equal higher wages, something the hierarchy don’t won’t imo.

Just so you get it we haven’t signed a permanent striker for a fee and wages since these owners have been here. I’m not saying we haven’t tried,  but we haven’t done it.

We've signed two twenty goal strikers in that time Steve.

Have Scunthorpe, Fleetwood, Swindon and Macclesfield put more into it?

Have you got the figures, or are you just making things up again?

Was billy Sharp free.? Andy Williams.?

That’s not the point though..  some fans can’t wait to have a pop at the board.. there may be a whole host of reasons why players don’t sign nowt to do with fees or wages..

We signed Bingham and Thomas outside the transfer window, where the options are very limited..

Why sign Bingham and Thomas? Simple answer, they were available. Low risk, low cost punt which hasn’t really worked out. If they’re here beyond January without any other strikers coming in then you may start to ask questions, but Moore didn’t really have much choice when he brought those two in.

Would paying a fee for Marquis have made him a better player?

No that’s not the point though.  If our policy of signing strikers is on a free and wages then we will have to wait generally until the summer window. Therefore strikers that could be available in January for a fee and wages will not be on our radar.

But we have paid fees for players (irrespective of position) in January -  Whiteman being an example.

Bloody hell, just because there may not have been many signings with a decent fee and top wages doesn’t mean we have a policy of not doing that, it might just be the way the cookie crumbles..

What, no apology for spreading unfounded BS?

Mind you, this post strikes me as more of the same so it's no surprise.

Over the three seasons he has been here, Kiwomya has played for us in 16 games in League One, scoring one league goal. He has only started 6 times in the league over these past three seasons.

Do you seriously think players like Bingham and Thomas will ignite the public’s attention?? I doubt it, absolutely shite and nobody can really disagree, it needs the shackles off and some investment

Do you seriously think Bingham and Thomas are championship quality?? And what’s your excuse for us not signing the two strikers who’s club had agreed terms???

Theo Robinson cost a six figure sum and wages.

Alfie May also cost a fee and wages.

John Marquis did not cost a fee and was a far better signing than both of the above.

I’m frustrated that we brought nobody in after we sold Marquis. Bingham and (albeit to a lesser degree) Thomas are a waste of wages. But I think we should be hopeful of bolstering the squad in January rather than writing it off before it’s begun.

Added to which Sadlier and Anderson contracts need addressing.

As I recall, Billy Sharp cost £1,000,000.  The current owners were had been at the club for a number of years by then
