Look at his appearance stats he's pretty consistent at a higher level. Probably not far off making as many appearances alone than Anderson & Olowu combined last season

Why the fuss about his age? Remind me how old was Copps when he played his last game?

I thought about it initially but then realised that not many teams have a pacey centre forward at this level anyway. Normally a target man.

Think you said the same when we signed Lee Tomlin.

Tomlin hadn't played 27 games in the Championship the season before signing for us.

I wouldn't worry about his age lads.  Woody has no pace, but never did have so it has barely changed his game.  He is the consummate professional and [touch wood] never gets serious injuries.  The odd little niggle doesn't stop the wrecking ball from turning out.

Oh - and he scores goals!

Top bloke.  Good signing.

Confirmed as well, 1 year deal works well for both parties that. Pleased with this signing.

Very pleased with this if it comes off. Just what we need at the back and i think he would complement Olowu very well.

Millers fans seem to think he is an excellent signing for us as well.

No doubt a solid player but how is he supposed to play in a system where of high press like we are told we are getting; surely doesn’t have the legs or pace for that.

CBs don't do that. It's the midfielders and forwards that do it.

After a couple of years of impotence in both boxes, it's great to get Wood.

Good interview as well, no falseness in what he is saying, looks and  sounds genuinely excited and happy to be here.

Yup, decent first interview. Sounds like a decent bloke and still got plenty of desire to win and to play.

What a signing and what a great first interview. Dont think we will be disappointed with this one. Always been a player l wanted to play for us and now he will be! If Joe & Bobby listen to what he has to teach them then he will improve them both immensely!

I like his version of starting pre-season - “I’ll show the young lads how to do it’

He sounds like another version of Rob Jones. Good solid pro.

Him and Anderson could be monsters at that level, if Anderson can get back to what he was.
If the manager played three at the back those two with either Olowu or Faulkner clearing up around them, it would take some beating.

This is a massive signing for us. It really is.
He could have had his pick of League 1 clubs undoubtedly.
Just shows how much GM us considered to be a very good Manager.
Also near to home of course.

Yes this is a marquee signing. We could not have possibly got a better one imo.
If we could have then name him that’s what I say.
