Existing Squad, New Model, FA & Conflicts
« on October 22, 2011, 07:50:44 pm by Johnny Lancaster »
Just a quick question and concern.

This new model with Willie 'Chipperfield' & his circus model.

It's been approved by the FA yes?

Will there not be great pressure now on existing players .... Copps, bennet, barnes etc .... To sign on Willies books as they may fear being fired out the door otherwise?

I think the FA and more importantly perhaps the PFA should look into this. Doesn't look like encouraging good governance to me and certainly not something a Cooperative should be supporting VSC ?

I seem to think that Mackay has said he only deals in Premier League players, players of Premier League quality, or some such wording - Copps, Bennett, Barnes et al have absolutely nothing to fear on that point and wont be joining Willie Mckay's books anytime now.

Looking at the new direction, we can only have 5 loan players in a squad for a game. We can bring in out of contract players, but how will they gain money for the agent with no transfer fee when they move on. The other thing is who will be at the club pre season. We will not get short term loans until the transfer window closes at the end of August. Out of contract players will not be available until the transfer window closes, because they will want to keep their options open. So we will have to have are own players at least 16 to compete in the interim period. Question will be who those players will be?

We wont have any players after January Steve. Didn't you know they are all leaving?

Well if players do not want to be here under the new direction then they will put in transfer requests. At least they will gain respect for their views instead of being disgruntled and just staying for the money. Their choice we will wait and see.
