Oh great! Expensive parking, horrible cold feeling to the ground with all those empty sky blue seats and an inevitable defeat.

Lets hope Northampton  don't have to fight for the compensation

Have you ever been to the Ricoh? Less atmosphere than a morgue on a quiet day! Makes the keepmoat look bouncing. And we always seem to lose there!

Glad they're back though, not right to have to go that far to watch your team at home.

Yes I have been to the Ricoh and I've also been to sixfields and I know which I prefer IMO.

One thing that's puzzled me with Coventry City during their 'exile' to Northampton: how on earth have they managed financially? Attracting less than League 2 gates but paying League 1 wages; hefty wedge as rent to their temporary landlords; no additional revenue streams. I could go on. So how have they managed?

Just a thought!

You are quite right Coventry, and I have real sympathy and now joy for the Coventry supporters of today.

At the time in 1998 I thought it was the most disgusting and morally bankrupt thing I had ever experienced - in football or anywhere else. The Coventry manager, board and it has to be said many of the fans at the time (I read their message boards) were fully behind it. But things have moved on, both in Donny and Coventry, and I accept and respect that.

Mind you Strachan is still  a first class Kitson  ;)

I'm delighted for them. Not least because I've been in the casino at the Ricoh 3 times and come out in profit on every visit. Same again will do nicely!

Great news for the club and the city.

They need to fill the place now though. Before moving out the crowds were understandably getting lower and lower before hitting rock bottom at Northampton. Let's see how many of the stay-aways make a return. Imagine it'll be nigh on full for Gillingham and hopefully they'll keep up a good average throughout the season. (Although the numbers may suffer after we stuff them 5-0 in March!)
