I can only go by the comments here, but it sounds like we still haven't got everything together - however we did have a disrupted pre-season and lots of injuries.  Hopefully we can get some results in this testing period.

Clear foul on Tommy Rowe on edge of area before they scored but referee played on.

For their winner?  Could it be we were pressing for a winner too?

Not too fussed about tonight, more bothered that we lost at the weekend..

Played much better as a unit in 2nd half. Noticeable change when Mandeville replaced Middleton (who tbh looks like old age has crept up on him before his time). Could have gone either way in the end.

Rowe played for the free kick on the edge of the box and ref didn't buy it.

I'd be quite happy for the team that finished to start on Saturday.

Out of interest, did Forest play like a championship team?

What do we do in training. Don't we discuss about the final 5 minutes of a match. Happened last season and both games this season.

We're lacking match fitness from an injury struck pre season. In a game or two we'll be on the right track.

Not too fussed about tonight, more bothered that we lost at the weekend..so because we're pushing for a goal we should basically say if we lose possession you go and score? That is what is happening and not just this season

Well I enjoyed tonight, thought we played well and we look like we have a lot of goals in our team. I can't think of anyone that had a bad game and I'd be quite happy watching that all year.

And conceeding with Forests first attempt on goal yet again.

Yes. But an average one at best. Much more composed than us on the ball as you would expect but didn't create many chances. Mid-table for them this year.

First this was a cup game we were attacking to try and win the game in normal time. It was a foul on Tommy Rowe on the edge of their area which the referee said play on broke quickly and for  the first time in 90mins Jamie Ward got past Matty Blair to score.

So it's not the same we weren't trying to get a point. Nobody wanted extra time, although it was announced it would go straight to penalties!!.

Tonight the first half our three in midfield were to wide apart. Middleton was poor and when Mandeville came on he showed how to attack from that position. But if DF wants to play 3 at the back the second half showed you need three mobile players, which Butler is not. Joe Wright was rightly given MOM followed in my opinion by Matty Blair.
But Darren sort out the midfield, Tommy Rowe plays better behind the strikers or striker not left central midfield.
Houghton did his job, Mason mobile either Right or Left centre back. Garrett better at left side defender than left wing back.

I know we are missing players and Notts Forest at times showed their quality especially in the first half. But the midfield in the first half were to wide apart and Darren needs to look how he gets the best out of the midfield.

Pretty dire from us 1st half. They (forest) haven't broke a sweat.

1-0 up but a few are looking very tired. Not as lively as Saturday but the defence is a lot better; Perquis and Traore look good #NFFC

What a pill@ck , only Mills and Burke played for th on Saturday

It was a good strike from a welsh international footballer, although Garrett turned his back on the shot, but there was not a lot you could do about it.
Also there weren't many more shots for Marosi in goal in 90 mins

After the tackle on Rowe just before they broke away for the winner who was our player that made no attempt to go for the loose ball?
He just stood and watched and seemed to bottle going in to win it.
Had he done so they just may not have broken away.

That's the problem, when things like that happen, the other players should be switched on, and stop them getting any further. We lose some very poor goals, not through lack of ability, half of the time, it's usually concentration issues.

As I said after the last match, players need a psychologist...to lose 2 matches in a row in the last minutes it's very frustrating, it will affect their confidence
