Penalty Taker

When Tyson came off tiday, he remonstrated with the bench and then ounched the dugout before walking down the tunnel. Was this because he didn't get to take the penalty?

If it is, why didn't he? Tyson is our main penalty taker yet Forrester steps up today. Strange decision. Wondering if anybody closer to the touchline had a better view of what happened when Tyson was substituted?

If Tyson is our penalty taker then he needs to grow some b*llocks and tell Forrester to piss off.

In my mind, the ideal situation is to have a hierarchy of pen takers, though the captain or manager could over rule this. From what I heard after the Fulham game, it's left to the players on the pitch. I despair not so much at that, but how that is handled.

If it is left to the players then surely the captain should have the say of who takes it, and it not be left to some chaotic process of who grabs the ball first. Twice this has cost us and both players should be fined, IMO, for greedy egos.

We need a designated penalty taker.  Then the only reason that player shouldn't take it is if he is off the pitch at the time.  In that case there should be a designated deputy.

Wayne Rooney is England's designated penalty taker.  Everyone has confidence that he will score ... And he did.

Nathan Tyson should be Rovers designated penalty taker.... If he had taken it, we may well have won the game.
