Spent 1 second on the P connection , thought bugger it , but can see it had one

First one I've actually enjoyed for a while. A right battle. I had no lives left but got it.

I kind of knew the Green connection, but wouldn't have been able to describe like they do

Got the yellow and purple groups but bombed out after losing patience with it.

Solved quickly with no mistakes. Would never have got the Blue group.

Then 8 totally random words left. After thinking I've no idea and shuffling (again and again) I came up with :

Got P and had no idea ( and can't say yet how I put those 4 together )
Got B and no idea either. Wouldn't have got that or Purple in a million years

Failed dismally. Lost all my lives fumbling for the Yellows and had no clues about the GBP before they were revealed.

Same here. Knew what a couple of the connections were but chose wrong options, therefor a catastrophic failure.

Well a 100% fail today after yesterday's 100% win

Did kick myself with eventual Blue row as I was one away twice but should have got it but I was thinking along slightly the wrong lines. (Wrong type of mechanism )

Yes , I kept returning again and again to Were. I felt it was a key word as you said that time with Mo was it

However I still didn't see it even after putting Wolf behind it and trying Wolf behind all the other words Duh

Yes Wolfie.
I started off thinking Vamp would be prefixed by Re, along with act produce direct. There were 5?in all which could have had that prefix so ditched that, decided it was vampire and frank solved it for me.
