1,245 at Rossington Main last night

A new record attendance for Rossington Main last night, edging past the 1,200 who saw them play Leeds United at Oxford Street back in 1992.

Huge thanks to all who came down to the game last night, and of course to Doncaster Rovers for bringing the 'community fixture' back. As I've said on other threads, the players at Main are completely unpaid and the club is run by unpaid volunteers, a boost like this will help them to continue to upgrade and develop Oxford Street for the benefit of the community.

The committee at Rossington deserve huge credit too for upgrading and repainting Oxford Street over the past two months, as well as getting the pitch in the immaculate condition it is, ready for this game.

Hopefully many of you will visit again when you can't make a Rovers match and continue to make a difference to local football.

Nice one! Chuffed we beat L**ds record attendance and well done to all at Rosso main - well organised, good facilities & friendly staff. Will be there again when we're not playing!
