I have a feeling we played Pegasus, the famous amateur Oxbridge team of the 50-60's and won 8-0. However I was certain I had seen it documented but can I heck find anything to substantiate this (and I am sure I asked this before)??
These are punts as some may be more than once- as in the mid 50's floodlight games were usually friendlies as it appears only daytime matches could be official league/cup matches.  Hibernian, Hearts, Celtic, Third Lanark, Linfield Glentoran, Falkirk and lastly 2 more Spandauer (Germany) and Djurgartens (Sweden)...I know most are friendlies but shows the depth of terams we have encountered?

Think we played Emley 2 years on the trot in the final.
What about parkgate, denaby, Stockbridge, worksop, we will have played some of these is Sheffield cup

It was the FA trophy match with Emley I was thinking of.

We played Maidstone four times. Lost and won at their gaff, drew and won at BV.

I'll try to put up a full list tomorrow. I'll throw into the mix Derby County,  Sunderland and Newcastle United  Under-21s in the Chaka Khan.

Love it - Cudworth Village (wonder if Parky remembers it) - and wonder if they beat Grimethorpe Colliery Band FC in previous Round lol

Add Maltby Main I think- however as we would not have  played these under normal circumstances and only due to our "artificial" situation its not a real reflection of our football league team status pre- 1998 and post 2002. I would be looking at Gainsborough, Scarborough and Wigan in 50-60's pre Wigan/Scarborough being in the league where we drew a couple (and lost at Wigan)

I went to Maidstone away. About 1988ish? It was one hell of a journey.

I would guess he means their u23 sides - though that's a bit tenuous imo.

St Leger Jockeys, RAF Bomber Command, Polish Air Force, and within my time  Sutton Coldfield Town  (Pat Lally's rare goal) in the FAC

Played St. Leger Jockeys 2 or 3 times

The jockeys would struggle to deal with high balls I would have thought.

Didn't we play RAF Bomber Command once in a friendly?

Their Under-21s in the Checkatrade. Not the same as the first team.

Harrogate Town in FA Trophy. Was going to say Chelsea, but we have played them twice!

Have we played Harrogate Town? My pick for this topic was going to be Harrogate Railway, who I thought we played early in the last decade in the FA Trophy. Two different teams as far as I know, but we may have played them both at some stage.

They are indeed two separate teams.
