You might want to rename the thread, AFC Wimbledon are not the franchise club, that’s MK Dons..
-
AFC Franchise??? What's that all about? Our opponents today are the true and original Wimbledon.
-
Same side , nice to get continuity. Personally I would have gone for Horton down the left but not much between them.
-
I hope the club haven't gone to Milton Keynes this afternoon.
-

That’s not quite true either.
AFC were formed by supporters when the original Wimbledon moved to MK but before the name change etc.
Although AFC are the moral successors in my opinion.
-
Well yes IDM, legally speaking MK Dons are the continuation of Wimbledon FC. But they stole their league place, and the true Wimbledon support, history and value went to the newly created club. Either way, the thread title here is completely wrong.

No MK Dons are not a continuation either. They were a new club who took Wimbledon’s league place, hence Franchise.

What are we even arguing about here?
Today's opponents are not a franchise club as the OP has stated in the thread title. End of story.
Let's talk about the Rovers now.
-
Whilst I had written our season off and resigned my self to relegation at various points so far, I’m as nervous as hell about this game today.
-
The saga still irks RA, hence my pedantry in this case..
Looking forward to KO and hopefully another 3 points for us..
-
Huge game. Come on Donny !!!
-
How we doing? In possession terms AFC are in front by 71:29% after 19 minutes.
-
Cracker from Jeff Stelling on Sky Soccer just now.
Amine Bassi just scored for the Dingles
“He’s not related to Shirley,
Barnsley are not Big Spenders!”
Boom boom
-
1-0 down.
-
1-0
We've not showed up. Hoof ball.
Olowu gave away a needless foul for the goal
-
w**k..
-
Got to get going come on Rovers!.
-
Despite all that possession for AFCW they hadnt had an attempt on goal until that goal.
Yet another goal concede from a set piece against us.
-
Soft free kick. Player ran across him. Never a booking either. Ridiculous.
I still think we will win.
-
We haven't had a single shot either.
-
It was so simple. Cross, header, goal.
We need to learn how to come from behind now. Very concerning.
-
Crew and Fleetwood both winning doesn't help.
-
GM set up negative again, Need more attacking mindset up front. Looks like he’s set up not to loose
-
We haven't had a single shot either.
Some things never change, eh?
-
Someone call the tennis club to tell them to expect some footballs arriving courtesy of Doncaster Rovers.
-
Same as every game since Mcsheffery took over this. Absolute joke with the ball.
-
Every game.? Be serious.!!
-
Dan Gardener can not pass a football.
-
Ball retention is f**king dreadful again.
-
We are poor with the ball, that can’t really be disputed. Very few patterns of attacking play when going forward
-
All three of the sides directly above the relegation zone now winning.
Think our hope dies this day for good...if it all stays the same.
-
Shrews have the lead at Burton.
-
STRAIGHT RED.
Straight f**king red every day.
-
STRAIGHT RED.
Straight f**king red every day.
What has happened.
-
Unbelievable officiating. That leg breaker is adjudged to be the same punishment as Oluwu’s card. Ref is an utter tw@t.
-
STRAIGHT RED.
Straight f**king red every day.
A Totally reckless challenge
-
Results not going for us. Need to win this or it's over really
-
Fleetwood now 3-0 up.
-
No it won’t be over - will be so much more difficult but not over…
-
They need a rocket up their a..e at half time. Far too cautious, not troubling a poor side. It might need a change of formation if this doesn’t change early in the second half.
The full backs need to be troubling them at the other end, and get some crosses in.
-
STRAIGHT RED.
Straight f**king red every day.
it was a shocking tackle ,very late he should have walked
-
We may as well loose 5-0 or win 2-1 just change it up GM go for it as we are practically Down if we don’t win #goforit
-
Totally outplayed by the only team we can possibly catch. Changes needed at half time or its season over.
-
Tempted to think we bring on Clayton on for Gardner and take Jackson off for another forward at some point soon.
-
We have been shocking in that half ,they cannot string 2 passes together, need to change formation and bring on another striker as if we don't shoot we will not score
-
Events turn games. They go one up. We are subject to a horrendous tackle that should lead to them being down to ten men. We’ve just not got going admittedly but should be going into the second half with a player advantage.
-
How it wasn’t a red is beyond me as well that could of broke his leg easy , studs up one of the worst challenges Iv seen in a long time
-
Can't control the ball, can't pass the ball. Nobody in a position to challenge their keeper. Unless GM changes it we have no chance.
-
Needs to make the change he did on Tuesday but now.
Smith and Gardener have been very sloppy in possession and clearly both tired.
-
We’re still in it. I think we’ll come out much more on the front foot. I hope someone has a word with the ref because a player could have had his career ended there… bottled an decision that was made for him.
-
Mipo on for Williams. Flat back four.
-
The only saving grace for McCormick is that he didn't make direct contact with Younger's shin. But it was an utterly reckless, studs-up challenge. He took off from 5 yards away (no exaggeration - I've got the screen grab) as Younger was already in the process of swinging his foot through the ball. Younger checked his follow through, otherwise it was a leg-breaker.
Absolutely f**king awful decision not to give a red card.
-
Change at half time this is how we should have started the game
-
2-0. Dreadful.
-
Looks like Knoyle was held. And the c*nt that shouldn’t be on the pitch scores.
-
That’s how it goes … the bloke who should have been sent off in the first half scores early in the second.
Knoyle fouled before the cross.
-
That’s the season done then.
-
Looks like Knoyle was held. And the c*nt that shouldn’t be on the pitch scores.
You just knew that McCormick would go on to score after not being sent off.
-
What the f**k was Knoyle doing there!
-
Shocking defending ,he could have made a cup of tea and a sandwich with all the space he had to head it in
-
I think we’ve had it folks
-
Comprehensively outplayed by a side that hasn't won for 3 months. f**k me.
-
Let's be honest skill wise they are light years ahead of us
-
Comprehensively outplayed by a side that hasn't won for 3 months. f**k me.
We’ve been comprehensively out played in every game this season
-
They have won every single physical battle today. Embarrassing to watch.
-
Well, we have a new worst ref to add to the list…
-
This is us done today, my hope was not high of survival anyway but this is a game we absolutely had to win today. And we haven't come close.
One solitary point after conceding first this season, and it was against rock bottom Crewe. We also haven't drawn a game under McSheffrey yet I don't think.
Verging on a full calendar year without back-to-back league wins too. All damning, dreadful statistics.
-

Course we have.
-
Well, we have a new worst ref to add to the list…
I have a feeling he was already on the list for a game some time ago
-
If Alick Jeffrey was alive today he'd be turning in his grave.
-
I repeat. Dan Gardener can not pass a football.
-
We got a point after being behind v Cambridge as well. But yeah, it’s not going to happen today. Still a dreadful record.
Morecambe winning now as well.
-
I would look at getting Clayton on the pitch, try and get some control in there. I would go 3-4-3 get Agard on the pitch.
-
Smith and Gardener have been very sloppy in possession and clearly both tired.
Aw…diddums.
-
5 yard pass. Kicks it out
-
Shrews now two nil up.
-
Wimbledon have got in our faces all game. They’re closing us down really well and spoiling. We look leggy and slack.
-
Cheltenham level up against Crewe but Alfie may didn't score.
-
I repeat. Dan Gardener can not pass a football.
Please get him off
-
Every score is going against us. Today is a bad day but our good days will return. RTID.
-
We’ve been terrible at defending set pieces again today.
-
Drastic change needed, I would take a point at this stage, we’ve been awful. Get Clayton on for Gardner . Agard on for Jackson and go 3-4-3, might as well go for it.
-
Yessssssssssszz
-
Yeeeesssss!!!!
-
Get in!!!!!
-
Cheltenham level up against Crewe but Alfie may didn't score.
He hasn't, but Omar Bogle has his 4th goal in only 8 games since signing for Hartlepool. Looking a very good signing for them so far.
-
Tommy rowe you beauty!!!!!
-
Yesssssss agsin
-
Get the ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff in
-
Two amazing goals from Rowe.
Player of the season.
-
Get in Rowey !!!!!
-
Coops called it!
-

-
COME ON ROVERS.
-
Cheltenham level up against Crewe but Alfie may didn't score.

Alfie May assisted it though!
-
We can win this …
-
Incredible turnaround! We can go on and win this now.
-
What a team, come on Rovers!
-
Magnificent cross from Knoyle. Coppinger was drooling over it.
-
Looking at the live table, preventing Wimbledon from winning would almost be as good as a win
-
Tommy Rover !!!
-
How can you go from
Playing so crap to this. Top player Rowe, what about a hat trick?.
-
This season without Rower would have been truly miserable.
-
I would take a win now.
-
How can you go from
Playing so crap to this. Top player Rowe, what about a hat trick?.
That’s what football is all about.??
-
I would take a win now.
Wouldn’t we all, Sammy?! Some of us might take the draw!
-
I tell you… this ref. The worst performance I’ve seen for a long, long time. Copps is exasperated.
-
I would take a win now.
Surely you can say that every week?
-
Clowns in black.
-
I would but think the win’s there for the taking xxx
-
Jackson had a shot cleared of the line
-
Wow how we didn’t score then
-
Can we win this?, comeback of the season .
-
Pompey got two back against fleetwood now.
-
Is this the ref that Fergie said should be shot?
-
Can we win this?, comeback of the season .
For us, maybe.!
-
Can we win this?, comeback of the season .
If so it wouldn't really have any competition
-
Gills leading at lincoln.
-
Is this the ref that Fergie said should be shot?
We had him on Tuesday, genuinely.
-
Ipswich level up at Morecambe.
-
Gills leading at lincoln.
Now 2-0.
-
Pompey 3-3
Crucial we didn't lose.
-
Well fought back. A bit unlucky in the end. Atrocious referee
-
Well that is a good point after being two down.
We still have a chance of staying up.
Well done Rovers.
-
Keeps us in it, could be an important point.
-
Pompey equalise against Fleetwood in the 5th minute of injury time after being 0-3 down.
-
Good result, I’m gutted though went for 3-2 in play. Well done rovers, keeps us in it
-
Fantastic save at the death by Mitchell.
-
Much better last half hour good point in the end
-
Overall not too bad for us today. Lincoln and Fleetwood still in the battle to stay up now.
Maybe AFCW wilted in the last half hour.
-
Fantastic save at the death by Mitchell.
Yep; best save of the season. He's improved on crosses too. Good game from him today.
-
Is this the ref that Fergie said should be shot?
We had him on Tuesday, genuinely.
And he is still as useless.
-
I'll take that.
Before kickoff I'd have happily settled for a draw away.
-
A good result coming back from 2 down.
Onwards and upwards

It’s a good job the players didn’t give up as easily as some of you lot on here
