Perfect stream so far if any one is interested

City have just been blown away by the Liverpool onslaught, Liverpool got lucky for the first goal though, Salah offside in the build up
-
Man City couldn't park the bus

Man City couldn't park the bus
They can't START the bus now either !

Tremendous victory for Liverpool.
I know that nothing is impossible but surely City can’t win this tie now?

In the league fixture at the Etihad they won 5-0.
It's definitely possible but if Liverpool can nick a goal I'd say the tie is all but over. They thoroughly deserved the win tonight that's for sure, scored some nice goals and in the second half defended staunchly.

Yes RA, as a non pay to view fan, I have just seen the short highlights version on ITV.
Not much difference in the two offside discussion points, both very similar and I can see why they were both wrong, or right, in the linesman’s view.
Liverpool seemed to have more composure than City.
-
City once again didn't turn up in a big champions league tie..For me they talked themselves out of it before the match started..All week all I've read from there players were how good Liverpool were offensively...The end result is they didn't register a shot on target all game...
City are top of the league, about to wrap up the title in one of the quickest times ever..They shouldn't be scared of any English team..
-
Except maybe the one team to beat them in the league at the one place they've lost in the league?
-
its just one game and you can reverse that argument by saying City beat them 5-0 in the reverse fixture..Liverpools weakest part is their defence but city gave them a easy night..
-
Man City couldn`t cope with the pressure, and players went missing, no away goal puts it in Liverpools favour.

Maybe he is, DM, but if Liverpool get that away goal, City will have to get 5. Can anyone seriously see them scoring 5 past Liverpool twice in a season?
-
particularly if Liverpool have 11 players on the pitch for 90+ minutes

I'm not one for making firm predictions anymore to be fair
As Steve said, City's chances get immeasurably smaller if Liverpool score an away goal. But I can see City winning the 2nd leg so it may end up being tight.
-
Liverpool are through simple as that. They will get an away goal at least 1
-
Rumour "allegedly" has it that Man city are trying to get that bloke who referreed the Barcelona v Paris SG 2nd leg to get the match
-
9/2 to qualify City. I think they can do it. They are a far better side than Liverpool.
-
Not a chance.

They are but after yesterday who would say their defence can keep Liverpool out for 90 plus minutes ?
City are awesome going forward as we all know and can stop the opposition by making and taking chance after chance and in truth they could and should have been 5 or 6 up at HT yesterday
However they were not and paid the penalty when their intensity dropped and their defence came under pressure - and when it does they often crack and when they spend their mega millions it should go on defenders.
Incidentally why in gods name was THAT not a Penalty when Aguero was "assaulted" ? Penalty and a Red Card for me

I don’t think they can beat Liverpool at 4 goals difference (I know they beat Liverpool with 5-0 but it was a half a year ago).

Because Martin Atkinson cannot keep up with play and the bloke with the flag in a good position to see it either isn't allowed to make a decision or it's a white stick he needs not a coloured flag.
-
Agreed - I thought he made many questionable decisions and they mostly seemed to favour MUFC
Not sure whether the Hand Ball by Young was deliberate but have seen them given BUT the foul was a Pen and possibly (Atkinson will now be thinking - too late) possibly a Red Card as well
.... BUT the crux of it was City had enough chances to bury their oppos and didnt. Raheem Sterling could maybe have bagged 2 Match Balls !
-
Opinions heh, in real time I thought Young won the ball fairly
-
My first thought when Young dived in was that it was a pen.
Replays would suggest that it should have been.
-

Opinions indeed. Who would be a Ref ?
I probably would have been surprised if he had given the Hand Ball (also by Young) and all I can think is he did not have a clear view of his "challenge" as it was high and a potential leg breaker
Heres the "slo-mo" and just note Sergios Leg and how much it was "bent"

United had a miracle beating City reserves. Should have had 7 City.
-
It is going to be tough for City especially if Liverpool score, but realistically no one will be too surprised if City do get through??
-
If United can put 2 goals past city in 90 seconds , surely Liverpool can score 1 in 90 minutes ? . If Liverpool score first City will crumble the same as they did against United.
-

I would be surprised if they manage to get through.
-
Back to the Young challenge and replay - did he not win the ball first and the momentum carried him through to Aguero's leg. I thought it was a typical Rob Jones challenge with no intent other than to win the ball. Kompany has got away with plenty of those in his time, so what goes around......
City will surely still win the league, but who cares? The amount of money on the pitch in that game was nothing short of scandalous and a perfect example of what is going wrong with football.
-
Young had both feet off the ground as he went into the challenge.
Dangerous and possibly out of control.
-
The Young challenge was dreadful, very lucky not to be sent off.
-
If that challenge had been the other way round Mourinho would have been very critical. The trouble is lack of consistency by the officials. We have had one or two stone wallers denied this year but seen some very soft ones given.
-
Off to the game tonight, really hoping for a goalfest!
-
Liverpool are a bigger price to win the game tonigh than City are to qualify. That puts things into a bit of perspective.
-
Any streams for tonight’s game ? Thanks
-
Salah plays - so breakaway goals are very possible. If Liverpool get the first I think they will win it...

Hi besty, I just clicked on your link and I am being asked to create a free account to be able to view.
Did you have to do the same and it is safe.

Don’t normally bother with champions league or premiership but watching this on BTsports and quite excited at the prospect of a classic - I actually think (and had bet on) it will finish 4-1 (16/1) or 5-2 (50/1) to City with Liverpool qualifying on away goals. :santa:

No just clicked on Watch Now closed any popups and good to go,no reports of any viruses from watching 1st leg so seems ok mate!

Top man besty thanks👍
-
Well that has put the cat among the pigeons.
-
What a great half, amazing how it is so one sided like the first leg
-
Think city might regret not getting a second. Although they should have, that wasn’t offside.

The only way he could be offside was if a City player played the ball, Milner played it
-
Even then he was level
-
Even then he was level
He wasn't, he was beyond the goalkeeper.
However, if it indeed came off Milner it should stand as a goal.
-
Salah strikes.
That should do it for the Reds.

Good HD stream Besty, cheers

Does n't need to be the goalkeeper, it needs to be two players, usually the goalkeeper is one of those two players

Yes exactly. Sane is level with the last Liverpool defender but to be onside you must be level with at least two opposition players of any description, since Sane is beyond the goalkeeper he's offside as there's only the defender there.
-
Citeh done for now.
Well done Liverpool.
-
Deja-vu....City - United?

The ball came off Milner, so he's onside

Think this ref has had a bet on Liverpool, two legitimate goals ruled out for offside
-
3-0 for Roma against Barcelona...Wow :woot: At this score Barcelona is out

As they used to say, it isn’t a goal, check in the paper tomorrow.
-
Whether it should or should not have counted (I think it should but it’s academic now) one thing is for sure - city were absolute dog sh*te after that! Well deserved Liverpool win!
:turd:
-
City now lost 2 back to back at home that 3 on the Trott and away to Spurs on Saturday. Who would have thought 2 weeks ago .
-
What about Roma beating Barcelona .Didn’t see that ones !!
-
What about Roma beating Barsalona .Didn’t see that ones !!
That’s like the match from Istanbul in 2005
-
Hope it is Liverpool’s year to win it again.

Won £30 notes, as I had a fiver on Liverpool....

Sorry Filo but are you winding me up or something? I have been saying all along that he's onside! Mush said he was level, which he clearly wasn't. IF the ball had come off a City player (which I know it didn't, it came off Milner) then Sane was stood offside despite Mush's assertion as he wasn't 'level' thanks to the advanced position of the goalkeeper.
All of this is rendered irrelevant by the fact it did indeed come off Milner, hence wrongly disallowed for offside. But I was never saying the goal should have been ruled out in the first place.
-
Bring on VAR ?
Salah Offside for first goal in First Leg (goal wrongly given)
Sane not Offside for a goal that would have made it 3-1 (maybe it might have made it 2-1 cant renember exactly - Goal wrongly disallowed)
Ten Sane not Offside when score was 1-0 to City and would have made the score 2-3 right on Half Time (Goal wrongly disallowed)
I fully accept that had the goals been given or disallowed as appropriate the result(s) may still have not have been different i.e Liverpool may still have won BUT ...
.... not a great performance by different officials over 2 Legs in the worlds "premier" Club Competition and should lead to VAR across the last 16 onwards surely - much as I dislike the time and manner of its reviews
-
Please don't make an argument for VAR. I do mind that every decision is analysed within an inch of its life and thats what adds to the tapestry of football. Its real life sport, not a computer game.
-
Refereeing decisions cost city massively over the two legs. There’s nothing wrong with VAR I don’t think, it’s just the people that use it that cause the issues.
