This is an interesting link. Makes you realise how much quality is on the market...if you have the funds of course.

I wouldn't mind Papa Bouba Diop, anybody know any local coke dealers who can help sign him up?

I believe Gaz meant Clarke Carlise has now signed for York City, you kids eh!

Who do you fancy for the Vuelta LJ, think Froome can do it or will it be Contador?

The Vuelta has already proved far more interesting than Le Tour, and there are some monster stages still to come.

I think it's a two horse race now, but Froome isn't one of those horses unfortunately. JRod or Contador. Ultimately I'd have to say Contador, as he appears to be getting stronger every stage, possibly due in no part to the fact he's had so much time off recently.

Froome was disappointing in the time trial and may be feeling the effects of a grueling year. If he can hold off Valverde he'll have his third consecutive Grand Tour podium finish though, which would be an incredible achievement.

You have to wonder where Rodriguez has suddenly found this form, but wherever he certainly has found it. I am hoping that Froome is cruising to save energy for the mountains, but its hard to look beyond El Pistolero. Its a better race because one team are not able to control it, wonder if that indicates how good Wiggo actually was. But yes I am really enjoying the highlights.

You going to the Tour of Britain?

Tom Taiwo - does he ride for Astana? Does he drive a tractor?

No Tour of Britain for me Wilts - off on me hols next week so it'll pass me by.

Mulling over taking on the Etape du Dales next year - something you've had a go at?

No not done that so let me know if you are going for it, I am always up for a challenge and to ride somewhere new. It the Seven Bridge Sportive last Sunday, 57 miles in 3 36 so pleased with that, came in 17th out of 400 (although most of em were on the longer route). Wiltshire 100 and then Wiggle New Forest 100 will be my next two, both next month.

Damien Delaney has left Ipswich by mutual consent today. Looking for a new challenge. Could be on our radar?
