A very professional performance would be my overall summary. Brown and Hulme played well together, first goal was extremly well worked. We completely bossed the game until the second goal when they came into it a bit more - second half in particular was played mostly in our half - but the defence looked solid & Woods didnt have a meaningful shot to save all game.

Three yellow cards for throwing the ball away was a bit pointless.

Well worth the win - onwards and upwards

I'm home matey but on my iPhone. In summary first half we were very good at how we play. Big difference playing with a big un and little un up front.
Only one team in it and only us looked likely to score.
2nd half we took our foot off the gas, and to be fair the damage was already done to the O's. They never troubled us really. No real outstanding performances and no real bad ones, just a superior first half.

Strongbow was a very good sport.

I'll update further when I can

Is somebody saying we were shite like?

Why can't the play with the same sense of purpose at home .

Hopefully he will have his reasons, but he needs too. We were set up well and balanced today. I'd keep Hubby at RB as well

Nar Cussy, noone's saying anything, that's the problem, we're all waiting to hear how good/bad/average we were to pull off another away win.

I think we're all a bit used to playing pretty good teams so get excited when we start winning a few games, like I am!

It would be proper monkey to repeat that atmosphere at home. The players responded and really appreciated it at the end.
That's got to be the quietest ground I've been too, although in fairness DRFC had a lot to do with that.

I was listening to it on my dead expensive DAB radio (which I was daft enough to buy before they became ten a penny) and I had to keep checking it was still working as it just kept going dead. But yeah, the radio was fine, it was very quiet, apart from some annoying humming noise every now and then which was put down to a 'bad line'.

BTW, I agree with the big un little un theory and hope to see it on Tuesday.

It would have to be Paynter as the biggish little un with Brown, although Paynter ( who I rate) still looks far from match fit

We still seemed obsessed with booting the ball out at every opportunity. Real mystery why we don't just pass ball down wings. We immediately lose possession. Great defensive work undone by at times woeful distribution.

First half we totally bossed the game and there could have been no complaints from Orient if we'd been four or five up. Brown, Hume and Bennett linked well up front- the first goal was the result of some excellent work by Brown, Hume finding space well and then finishing really clinically. Gary Woods had little to do in goal and the defence was solid.

Second half was forgettable but we held Orient at bay and overall thoroughly deserved the win. Hume was excellent and gave us that x-factor we've needed in attack. Shame he can't play Tuesday but he should be fresh for next Saturday's game.

The downside was four bookings- two of them (Bennett and Paynter) for kicking the ball away. Brown (who was unlucky to be booked) and Cotterill (who wasn't) are now on three yellows and with our small squad we can't afford silly bookings.

As for Orient, I thought they were the poorest team I've seen this season and can see them being in the relegation shake-up at the season's end.
