1-0 down at home to Derby and down to ten men. Billy Sharp on the bench. Wonder how long left there will be before SO'D brings him on?

Bet it's not until 80+ mins.

To be fair they would all walk straight into our team.

Sharp still isn't on for Forest and they're crying out for another striker on the pitch.

Sharp has just come on but Forest playing like we used to when the chips are down. Sloping shoulders, passing nowhere, no leaders, aimless.

75 minutes and SO'D finally decides to make the change he should have made 20 minutes ago.

At least as irritating as Saunders is with his feeble and stupid post match excuses, we don't have to put up with SO'D's ridiculous late subs anymore.

Does SOD have an alarm clock in his pocket set to go off no sooner than 70 minutes every game?

For his own sake, I hope O'Driscoll doesn't come out with that "nothing special about a local derby - just another game" line today.

Thought forest was a strange move for Copps, he's not going to play much. Expect him back in January.

Nestling on the bench next to Billy was £1million signing Henri Lansbury.

Million quid and on the bench!!

SO'D was saying only the other day about how he was surprised at how big this game seemed to the supporters.

Not the first time. Forest have been as awful in this half as we were in the whole game when we lost to Scunny at Glanford Park in SO'D's first derby game.

Crowd got a bit frustrated there with the throw in going all the way back in injury time.

Forest have done nothing but hoof it for 90 minutes, with 11 men and 10.

Derby have really done a job on them. I sensed that they would do after about two seconds of the game, when Forest kicked off and the Derby team charged forward straight away to close them down. There's a way to beat a SOD team, and that is to get in their faces, make it uncomfortable, and use your physical presence against them. Derby did that from the first minute, meaning this result was inevitable in my eyes.

A nice 15 minutes looking at the clouds for Billy, did he get a touch of the ball?

What happened to SOD`s, total football philosophy? 95 minutes of the best hoofball you could imagine!

Passing the ball around at the back and then banging it forward when closed down gives the illusion of 'passing football' but is actually a load of shite. Said the same last year when we were doing it for nothing but the sake of it.

From forest forum;

Agree! Lack of pace is costing us, hopefully the rumours of Robbie Brady are true.

The passing game isn't working at all and hasn't since the Charlton game, it seems like we're passing it about a lot but still ending up hoofing it long.

Pace is a necessity in the modern game.

Yep, sounds like SO'D is starting to have an effect. Spells like this are inevitable when you have SO'D as manager. They'll pick up a few wins sooner or later and have fans drooling, then go through another few spells like this and probably finish mid-table. Whether that's good enough for them I don't know.

Another quote from a Forest fan...

Sounds very, very familiar.

No but the wages are , ask Billy £28k for getting  splinters.  :woot:

He left us because he didn't fancy a relegation battle (His words) , well a least Saints have spared him that.

sharp sub
gillet doing ok in a transition squad
gaz robbo regular in a struggling team
greeny mainly injured
wellens their fans hate n don't rate him
mills can't settle looks poor
shackell chasing the money
stocky can't get a game

Friend is doing alright by all accounts, apart from that all our ex players aren't pulling up trees in the league above.

Though I thought Wellens was one of Leicester's best players, wasn't he player of the year not long ago?

The one ex Rover doing really well is little Baxendale. Just keep an eye on him I think we let a future talent slip through our fingers there.
