Palace ARE in total charge - they are 2 up (and look like they have another gear or two to find) despite all the lovely stuff rovers are playing - they have been clinical, Rovers have played very well but haven't created a great deal, palace have had two decent chances and put em away. Yep Rovers have had lions share of possession and are doing all the right stuff - but they are 2-down - that second goal was a killer!

Kilbane a total joke though. Reckoned it should have been a penalty when the ball hit an arm and in the same breath said 'I don't think he knew much about it though'. Look up the Laws of the Game, plonker.

Tbf rovers played well but palace had more in the tank. Wilks was a big miss today.

Thought they had it spot on, we lacked quality. Palace let us have the ball, I found it a cringe worthy performance, why does it feel as if this always happens in front of a big crowd.
Of course they are a quality team, but we looked too panicked, and to have that many corners and not create anything. Gutted, we’ll done for getting this far though

As expected really. It started with the cliche of the little film before K.O. The only surprise there was that there were no whippets. They mentioned our conference years and our giant-killing acts v. Villa etc but failed to point out we were an established Championship side on the same footing as Palace until fairly recently. At least they didn't refer to us as 'minnows'.

I was expecting rovers to be a bit more tenacious as a whole but we stuck doggedly to the passing game. Hennessy didn't have to stretch to make a save. They were well organised and clinical without being spectacular. On the whole we acquitted ourselves well.

I thought we did well, we were by far the better team in the first half but found ourselves 2-o first goal was a lucky deflection, second goal killed us a bit. The second half was more even, but we plugged away at it, and were not disgraced

We had loads today and I can't remember a meaningful attempt from any of them. Can't be any other team as poor at them as we are.

I had to watch this on BBC from Brussels It was like wearing a dozen condoms in bed with your fantasy woman.
I would emphasise how important you local fans are to our club .I live too many hundreds of foreign miles away to be at Keepmoat ..you guys and gals today made me proud to be a Doncastrian .BBC made me hate all that is Premiership and TV money football.

You have obviously forgotten the Downing header that might have gone in had Alfie not deflected it over the bar, early in the second half.

I have to agree with most of the above

. I think it's probably just the fact that all they know & care about is the Premier League & Champions League & don't actually follow any championship/league 1/ league 2 football.

Watching it again, you can tell the Mike's weren't picking up the crown oise. It was alot noisier inside the stadium that what appeared to the armchair fan.
