He looks a good prospect ...fast and very strong ..a big unit and DM is weaning him in nicely with three calls on as sub recently . Same stature as Sadds.

Graing, having watched the lad at u23 level, he has improved, but his mental strength lets him down. Getting a few first team minutes will do him the world of good.

Despite that, we now require 3 very good signings and quickly.

Yes, I liked his play today. He seemed to suit that wide role. Got the physicality that a lot of our young prospects don't usually have, and if he'd had a bit more time to set himself for that effort on target today it might have had the velocity behind it to go in.

Think he could have took another yard on that run and give himself a bit more time but a good run out just needs to keep it up and keep pushing and learning for copps and Taylor

Should take a Thomas’ place in the squad.

I also liked what I saw of Watters.
He could do well for us.
He did seem to snatch at that shot late on but I suppose that is understandable given the circumstances.
I look forward to seeing him again.

If you were man marking Taylor to start with you would naturally drop back to nullify the pace of a smaller player as the quick smaller guys(I was one of them) usually have better acceleration. So as a defender you get used to doing that then have this unit come on and run at you. You’d have no chance based on the strength we saw today. Twice the left back tried to show him outside and twice he ended up nowhere near him.

I commented that he hadn’t looked up to much from the little we saw before today but I’m happy to be proven wrong.

Think he will definitely be an impact player this season depending on injuries or suspension and hopefully can become a real squad player for years to come and potentially and coppinger replacement

Steady on.

That's like a lad serving a few times as an altar boy and suggesting he might replace God.

Are you implying that God and Copps aren’t one in the same? Blasphemy!

Ok in a positional point of view a replacement for copps, as a man never

He is not, or ever will be, a replacement for Copps. Different kind of player altogether.

If we get the lad in from CP, he has a chance. But we have to get him first!

From the little I've seen of Watters, I can see why we are prepared to let Alfie May go.
