Went over to Belgium at the weekend for a scooter rally.
Took the Hull to Rotterdam ferry.
No covid checks at all despite it being cited as a condition of travel that you were vaccinated.
And fuel prices, wow. In Netherlands and Belgium you are looking at between €2.30 and €2.52 a litre for unleaded. And we think we have it bad.

I wonder whether we would be allowed to sell at £1.80 per litre had we still been in the EU?

I was in France last week and unleaded fuel cost under 2€ a litre, about equivalent to a local Tesco.  When I had a house in France we got a diesel car because that was considerably cheaper to run in France than England.  Perhaps the Dutch price is because of their dependence on Russian supplies, not sure though.

In Bogota the equivalent of standard unleaded is about 10,850 pesos a UK gallon. Sounds quite a lot...

It's about £2.20 a gallon.

They actually sell it in US gallons but I looked up the conversion.

And they do have some nice cars. Not a lot. But some!
