As a child of the punk era I was never much of a Beatles fan.

But even I have to chortle at this.

I assume he was the Richard Littlecock of his time.

I have to say that I say the same about young peoples music today.
'I can't understand a word he's saying'
'HTF can you dance to that'?
'That's a stupid haircut'
'Where do you buy clothes like THAT'?
'In my day, songs actually meant something'.
I'm an old punk too Billy and still like music by 4 blokes in white t shirts, leather jackets and jeans.
I guess that makes me a BOF!

It's part of the cycle of life that every generation should produce ideas and culture that us older t**ts just don't get. The trick is to accept it, rather than spend your later years being resentful. Hard though.

And it doesn't change the fact that Coldplay are w**k.

I'm sure he'd find a toss to argue about.

I was a teenager in the late 60s early 70s so it was led zep and prog rock that I was into. Dint mind punk at all, never mind the bollicks was a great album.
Liked the Clash and the Pogues.
Since then though I've completely lost touch
My son plays Rap and Destruction. Kin ell I hate it. Puts my teeth on edge.

I agree with some of BST points, but not all of them.

I agree with his first sentence.

I disagree with his second sentence because it is the older generation's duty to resent the new stuff because it is designed for us to resent it.

I disagree with his 'fact' that Coldplay are w**k. However superior and wonderfully marvellous a person he considers himself to be doesn't qualify him to judge the rights and wrongs of the musical tastes of any f**ker else.

Yes, but lucky for you, I'm not interested in finding a tosser to argue with.
