Rovers eye Rochdale raid

Skysports.com understands Doncaster are lining up a move for Rochdale defender Tom Kennedy.

Kennedy, who is the nephew of Liverpool legend Alan Kennedy, has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the lower leagues over the last few years.

The 24-year-old has been a key member of the Rochdale side since arriving from Bury in 2007 and he was instrumental in their successful promotion from League Two this season.

Doncaster are understood to be in the market for a new left-back and are hoping to lure Kennedy to the Keepmoat Stadium.

Kennedy's contract expires this summer and although Rochdale do not want to lose him it seems he could move on for a new challenge.

I cant be arsed finding the other thread concerning this so will just use this one:

Over at TFF a Rochdale fan responded to talk about the Kennedy to Rovers rumour with this:

\"Tom Kennedy has been heavily roumered to be going to yours for the last week , got told today its a definate from the same source that said Will Buckley to Watford well before it broke.\"

So looking likely that we will be signing Kennedy to replace Roberts then.
