Odds for friday
« on May 08, 2024, 09:46:13 am by normal rules »
Rovers are 7/10 for the win on the night.

Some interesting other bets for the punters.
Crewe do the unthinkable and draw the tie at full time means Rovers are 33/1 to win the tie in extra time . Crewe are 66/1 for the same .
And not for the feint hearted Rovers or Crewe to win the tie on pens is 40/1 apiece.

For me, a rovers win on the night and Owen Bailey to bag a goal is a 7/1 shot.

Book train tickets before the rush, have a few quid on Crewe to qualify at 16/1 (may get bigger). Can’t lose.

That’s with Skybet. They are jokers. I said on Twitter I wouldn’t mind laying 100k at 1/100

Can get 1/150 on SpreadEx, i'd lay that all day long on the "just in case" basis. It is only 2-0....... Confident we wont throw it away but the odds being offered are wack

I've seen Crewe to qualify at 33-1 plus.  Thinking of putting a quid on, as if that happens I'll get the £20 I've paid for pre booked Wembley parking back, plus change.

I'm not into betting, don't fully understand how it all works and wouldn't want to set up an online account and get hooked.  I'd go into a local bookies before Friday and see if I can place a bet old school.

Booked train tickets after the game on Monday might do the same thing a few quid on Crewe to qualify to cover the cost if the worst happens, hopefully I’ll be a couple of quid worse off come 10pm Friday night

Crewe are 16/1 to win the tie with sky bet. May get better elsewhere

18/1 at Quinbet is best I can find.

Rovers shortened to 1/250 at BetFair, absolutely bonkers.

I’d rather lose the money on a train ticket than back the opposition in a playoff semifinal. Your either brazen enough to book them or not, but don't back against your own club for the sake of a few quid!

Try Oddschecker (I think?)

As for backing an opponent, it’s nowt to do with wanting or hoping them to win, it’s simply an insurance to recoup train or parking bookings placed in expectation of reaching Wembley.

It’s more loyal to take the insurance out on the train tickets. It was only £4.50, covers full refund if the worst happens.  :scarf:

I don't understand betting that well, so if you put £100 on you'd win £1?

My parking space isn’t insured..

Would a train ticket insurance pay out if the holder just changed his mind about travelling.???

That's ridiculous odds in a two horse race ,  are Crewe having to walk to the game?

My flights were over €200 so I've put €20 on Crewe to win the tie at 16/1. Trust me, this is insurance only. If I had them at 1600/1, I'd still be absolutely gutted if they won. My first time in a bookies since I put some money on for the winner of the 2010 world cup. Not my scene at all.

My flights for the final are close to 270

Assuming my uneducated reading of betting odds is correct we are now the favourites for promotion (8/11) with Crawley (7/5) second. Is that worrying?

I suspect we were always less favoured than Leeds last time even after getting to Wembley.

It’s not worrying. Just the market saying we are better than Crawley essentially. You weather be the best team in this situation. Doesn’t guarantee you win anything but it doesn’t hurt.

Or much more attractively if you can lay the other side of the bet a quid wins you £100.

The peno bets were too good to miss. I had a fiver on each.
