Thanks for the kind words guys. We are safe down on the Gold Coast but the Brisbane River is expected to peak tomorrow and Brisbane city and a number of towns along its banks will suffer incredibly.
Ipswich which is NW of Brisbane is already under water with a number of houses totally submerged and others simply swept away by the waters.

We often mock the weather man but this was predicted late last year as was the cold weather you guys suffered in December.

If you get the chance take a look at the video an office worker in Toowoomba shot from his 2nd floor. It is bound to be on youtube by now as it shows the destructive force of a flash flood like never before seen. Sorry but I don't know how to post the link!
