Toes in the bath tub
« on January 23, 2011, 09:37:29 pm by RedJ »
Am I the only one whose toes always burn like hell when I get in the bath? Yes, I realise it's a bit of a weird question, but I was thinking about it for ages last night

As long as it's only your toes that burn....

My mum used to say chillblanes (sp) burn in the bath..  :(

I think it might be something to do with the fact that my toes always feel cold. It's just my toes, yeah.

Toes always feel cold... Does it happen to your fingers too? Any colour change (purple/blue-ish hue). If so it could be Reynauds syndrome or some other circulatory issue. Maybe worth a call to the quack.

No, just a burning sensation, and just in the toes, thankfully :-)

The answer is obviously so simple. When you get in the bath, sit on the side of the bath and slide in (arse first) and make sure you keep your feet out at all times. Don't bother washing your feet, you can just talc em up when you get out.

If you took your tin bath off the fire before you got in, that might help ;)

Agree with Mike - take a list of your symptoms to the doctor.  Write down when it happens, if it's chronic or intermittent, what makes it better or worse, etc.  Hope you get it sorted.

Yeah, starting to sound like a good idea. I think it's just cold toes, but it's best to get it checked, like you say.

update - doctor says it's nothing more than the fact that my toes are always cold, and there's no particular reason for that. Nothing to worry about. :-)

Maybe w**king off in the standing up position instead of on your back bending double trying to catch your own population paste in your mouth might help.

Have to say I'm disappointed with this thread.

I thought it was TORIES in the Bath. I thought someone had scandalous evidence of Michael Gove, George Osbourne and William Hague in a tub full of Radox practicing their cross-country ski-ing technique if you know what I mean.

Still it's only a matter of time till one of them corks it while trussed up in a gimp suit with a tangerine syringed full of poppers shoved up his arse like that one back in Major's day.

Better yet, TORIES IN BLOOD BATH. Anyway, if Cameron ever did literally climb into bed with Clegg, it'd not be a homosexual experience as some may expect, as Clegg is a massive Kitson. :P
