How can a player get singled out for being 'brilliant' by the manager and 'outstanding' by radio pundits against Blackpool, fair enough have a bad game against Portsmouth but not as bad as his fellow centre back against Portsmouth and then get dropped?

Hird = scapegoat

Friend should be dropped based on recent performances, not Sam

Chris: Play our best centre back in midfield... seriously?

DS suggested this might be an option after one of his early games so may it may be an option! Not sure whether it's a good option but what do I know? Haha!

Suppose he could be playing 5 at the back with Illunga and Chimbonda bombing on as opposed to holding a defensive line - suppose the next 90minutes will make it all clear (if we're lucky!)

I'm prepared to see how this new way forward works, and hope it's the right way for us - but at the immediate moment I'm getting increasingly worried about the muddle that is currently DRFC!
