I am really quite pleased about this. There. I am happy to stand in the minority. Good young manager, good contacts, right grit and determination, did well at Oldham with no resources.

Agreed, very underwhelmed by Dickov's CV but the board must see something beyond that and this is one thing they usually get it right.

I am firmly in the "let's give him a chance" sector of fans on this one. He has not failed at Oldham, nor has he succeeded. He is unheralded at this level and inexperienced but the club itself is hardly one in a different position. I think this could prove to be a good appointment and I'm looking forward to watching the Rovers under Dickov.

If he brings the same tenacity and desire to managing this club that he did when playing he could be an asset.

Waste of 2 weeks really when we could have been talking to players see as he was clearly the only man we were ever interested in!! Can't see the logic in this appointment at all but I look forward to been proven wrong!!
