Sheffield Eagles

For all Dons haters, it looks like being a double dose next season.  The Free Press is reporting that The Dons and Sheffield play at home on the same day each week and they are looking to play double headers at the Keepmoat. The Eagles still don't have a home for next season.

That will absolutely destroy the pitch.  Maybe that's why we've started lumping it up to Tyson all the time?  Good thinking from Dickov, planning ahead!

Wouldn't it make more sense for the Eagles to use Castle Park if they can't get a venue in Sheffield?

Won't do the pitch much good. Most of the games are after the football seasons finished however.

You're telling me that playing Rugby league does not affect the pitch - it has to, you have 20 odd blocks running up and down the pitch, it has to affect the pitch, maybe not as much as union but it will have an affect on the pitch, it will not be making it better that is for sure

It's not going to make it any worse either, saying RL damages the pitch is a myth. In fact most Super League pitches are better than those in football

Still peddling that one .....Jeez !! We've used that excuse when teams have rolled us over as well as the 'hard pitch'
