Ha! Now you can see how frickin gorgeous I am. Full of Yorkshire meatyness.

By the smirk on your face, it looks like you`ve just finished a session with Cussie!

I've just gone all red again, we're getting there!

Course if all those that are moaning about the forum that aren't members or haven't renewed actually did so, there might be a few more quid in the kitty to look at upgrading the site and not have to so reliant on the goodwill of Nathan and Bobjimwilly who give hours and hours of their time for free, to give us all a website and forum that we can be really proud of.

I`m sure we`ve got a few well flushed businessmen on here that would sponsor this site ;)

I'm jealous now Filo, how come you're user name is in red and I'm still blue, is the forum now automatically detecting my state of mind?

Out of interest. Is it possible to add an 'ignore' button to this forum?

It works so well on toher forums I frequent so you dont have to view posts of certain 'contributers'.

I have suggested this a couple of weeks ago and although I am not flush, I'd be willing to sponsor the site if the price is right ;)

I have suggested a seperate page where users can go to if they need a Mechanic, Plumber, Accountant etc.

Yep. Poor for me too tonight. Repeated 'service unavailable' messages - and very slow downloading too. It's weird after all the effort and thought that's gone into this.

The old avatars should now be back.

Still trying to solve the issue regarding speed etc. Behind the scenes a lot of applications have gone.

The balls are back as well.

obviously i'm not privvy to the cost of these things, but wouldn't it be better to move to a host that can actually handle the traffic we get on match days etc rather than trying to strip the site to its bare bones?

there are forums out there with thousands and thousands of members who don't have the problems we have :(

Nathan, what kind of webspace and bandwith does the forum currently use?

It really isn't an issue of bandwidth or available webspace. It is something with the components of the site, which we are trying to isolate.

We just need to get the colour and greyed-out Rovers badges on the forums to denote unread posts and we are almost back on familiar territory.... ;)

No its not.

Once we resolve the stability issues, I think we will be binning that.

Thank god for that.

Dunno if it was covered on a previous page but is there a way to expand the number of threads per page? Only having 10 on the first page is nowhere near as good as before.

Overall its not too bad an update, will get used to it and it looks alright.

I'll nip into the back end and adjust it.  We had it set at 20 before (tried 40, but that was too long)

Great work Rob and Nathan! Although It doesn't seem to have made that much difference, I've altered some of the joomla mysql tables and added new indexes that should speed up certain sections of the site. Also re-uploaded some missing images that had been lost during the Kunena upgrade, which in turn were producing 404 errors.

Now, let's try and cut down the memory and CPU usage... :S

Aha, glad I'm not the only one, thought I was losing my sight. I don't seem to be able to upload a new avatar, and I'm sick of being Don King!

P.S. Thank f**k the thankyou thing is going.
