Bugger.

This was a great chance to open up that gap and put pressure on the other teams. Oh well,  I suppose it gives our lads a rest and a chance for Syers to be back.

I think the pitch inspection was far too early, the game isn't for another 7 hours, could well be playable by then.

Agreed, think this could be an error by those involved in the decision making.

Where has this been announced anyway?

To be honest, Cantley Park has been really wet for a while. It could be to do with the hardnest of the pitch at the Keepmoat. Every club says the surface is hard.

Cantley park has grass on pitch whereas our pitch is mud, frozen mud is a death trap

Another 7 hours of above freezing temperatures to soften the parts of the pitch that have been stated are 'unplayable' (which im guessing is frozen). No more snow forecasted either. Definitely could of dropped a big old saggy bollock

Why? If the ground is frozen, it's frozen. Or are you 'in the know' as well?

The KM tundra strikes again, evertwhere else in donny the ground is soft and will take a stud, I reckon the Rugby on Sunday has screwed us, also a pitch inspection nearly 8 hours before kick off is way too early!

Haha so many overreactions it's daft. It's cold and frozen in the shade. It's not that unbelievable really, get over it.

The pitch should have been playable, surely the ground staff would know which areas are frozen if any and sort it. I thought we had double covers to protect down to -6 it not been that temperature.

What a disappointment.

Was really looking forward to tonight and the chance to keep the momentum going after Saturday.

Bugger.

Time to sort the pitch out and tell the rugby team to f**k off and play at Castle Park.

Why is it pathetic?

I am sure the club has done all it can to get the game on, and the pitch covers can only achieve so much.

Yesterday and last night were very very cold, sometimes you just have to admit defeat to the weather.  Stop slagging the club off "tin pot" " bullshit" etc...

Plus this gives Hume more time to get fully fit, and Syers etc.  We're still top and this game is still winnable when re-scheduled.

What's the problem?

Agreed. How many times has it been mentioned that parts of the pitch are in the shade, so can't get the warmer temperatures? I can understand fans being frustrated, but let's just think about things before we speak

We lose nothing by the postponement. There are plenty of Tuesdays to reschedule the game, no fixture pile up.

Stay in and stay warm, and look forward to Saturday...

I think that's it,  Lee. The goalmouth at the south end is permanently in shade at this time of year. I can well believe it's frozen solid.
