Very quick. Went to see the Cancer specialist this morning. Was given 3/4 months to live in Jan. Told I was clear in March, now been clear for six months, had a scan last Friday and am still clear, he wants to see me in 3 months. Thanks to the American Insurance system.

Thanks everyone, I posted the news for two reasons, one to keep you updated on my progress, but also to say all is not lost when that news arrives.

For anyone else who has or will be diagnosed, you must stay positive, you MUST do what the doctors tell you and most of all have faith. People these days are coming through the Big C and staying free for longer periods.

I have been lucky in having bosses who have accepted my illness but kept me on the payroll. I have worked all through this time, taking days off when the Chemo kicked in and working an hour here and an hour there,untilJune when I began to get back full time.

I realise it depends what job you do, but I think employers would be well inclined to take this attitude. It has helped in my case as I had, ( even at 69) something to do, felt needed and an aim at the end. It also helped by being supported by fellow workers.

Once again than you all, and I shall keep you updated as the months go on\.
