Speculating on what could be behind the decision to keep DS into next season my guess is its a very narrowly scoped financial decision based on the already baked in cost of two Head Coach salaries running in parallel.  They want to avoid paying three managers for six months.  I said very narrow because self evidently the decision not to dispense with DS could be a gamble with the club's Football League status.
We've seen this season how the first few months of the season set the trajectory for the remainder and next time if we have to change manager again Mr Bramall's pot of additional money will have been spent possibly again on players unsuited to this League.  How then do we get out of the hole we would be in?

Watching us go through the motions is just not what it should be like . But Schofield seems to have settled into damage limitation mode and playing who ever  is fit enough to get us over the line . If he is in charge next season it will need a complete rethink of the type of players needed and i hope that the  extra funds does the trick to attract them.

For me whatever he does now, theres no coming back in my eyes, he’s ground us down with his process driven football, One thing I’ve noticed this evening is that Dross usually put up DS initial thoughts on the game about 15 to 20 minutes after the game with his rucksack on his back, today nothing yet, I’m hoping he’s been given the boot, but I’m not holding my breath


And another thing, I didn’t see Greeny today from the views of the bench on ifollow
