Home game promotions on tickets
« on November 14, 2021, 06:16:19 pm by Padge_DRFC »
When was the last time we did it? To draw the crowds in.
Seen Notts County charged a fiver for their game v Solihull Motors and got 12800 in!
Crowds have been rubbish this season surely an option for a game coming up soon before Christmas.

In a midweek night game - not the ideal way to get kids in to the ground. An infective promotion imo.j

No it wasn’t ideal but was in the holidays so no school day after. Took my two nephews and my niece.
Could’ve been marketed a bit better, to be fair to the club had some emails about packages for junior clubs to go to home games.

Notts County did this promotion for £5 a ticket to break the non league record attendance, simply.

TBH I think if they offered tickets for free we would struggle to get many bums on seats, nothing attractive to get the crowds back

Funny that Padge I received a letter dated the 11th of November thanking me for my continued support of the lottery and offering two free tickets for the games v Oxford United and  Gillingham, as I expect all members have and thanking me for my continued support.
I find the club quite pro active in trying different things to attract supporters.

Notts County do this fairly regularly. I went to a County v Torquay game a few years back which was a fiver for everyone. I also think they did one v Yeovil recently. Not the first time County have done this to be fair to them so i don't think it was a ploy just to try and break the attendance record.

I do think that we should do something similar just to see what would happen on a one off game if nothing else.

It was put out by the Notts County commercial team that they were out to break the record for a Conference fixture

Better to lose a bit of money than a lot. I know it can’t be done all the time because it devalues things for the season ticket holders but games that don’t usually bring many in surely have to be targeted?.
If we could just get our average attendances up a bit, it would help in having more freedom to bring players in?.
The closer to a full stadium the better but the team results need to keep improving.

There’s a certain amount times clubs can alter set admission prices, we’ve done in the past and certain people have complained

There was a game we did it on in the championship it nearly sold out. Not the palace freebies. I think it was Swansea but it was us the fans that hammered it and got in board and we nearly sold out.

Sad those days are gone I remember the wednesday game that had 14.5k there normal prices I had to sit row 2 by the corner flag right next to their fans.
