Whether I get on with Andy (my son) I don't know but it seems like a giggle.

I guess we just about qualify as supporters

I went on it 20 years when we playing at Barnet, Underhill ground, they put chauffeur driven cars for us . Retford rover was on along with a certain gentleman who is often heard on Radio Sheffield telling everyone about his un-dieing love for the team from Oakwell . Also I seem to think one of the southern based lads was on , Will ? I think

Me having a dig at Barnsley... I love it.
Great adventure and I scored with a right foot shot in getting the ball through the hole in the goal. So technically I've scored live on national tv.
They put us up in a B and B close to the studios. Whilst being shown to our rooms a " lady of the night" was entertaining a gent on the stairway. She never battered an eyelid and being a gentleman I just said " Evening " and left them to it. He was a southern lad by his accent so he wouldn't have been there long. RTID. 😜

It was a bit like our defence of yesteryear, it was a backs against the wall job. I think that paints a picture.

Tim Lovejoy " what's it like supporting the worst team in England ? "
The match was a 1-1 draw Lee Warren scored ,attendance 2015 , 08/11/97.
As I wrote previously " 20 years ago "

I didn't answer, I just took an instant dislike to him, which I still hold to this day . Everyone one else on the show was fine, it was when they used to have Brian Regan ( Terry Sullivan in Brookside ) used be on every week, before he got sent down for being a getaway driver in some murder case .

I went to that one as well.
Mark Weaver rang BBC radio after the game. He sounded a bit high or popped. He was banging on about Premier League teams hiring foreign managers and then saying we had one in Danny Bergara.

What happened guys? No Donny fans on the show? A couple of hoops in the studio? Slightly embarrassing. Could be their fault of course?

I watched the first couple of minutes and saw there were 5/6 of our fans on, no idea what happened after. Didn't see the rest so don't really know the full story, but don't understand why anyone would have a pop - they applied and were obviously considered interesting enough to put on!

sorry about the poor show lads. Personally, a bottle of whiskey the night before and no breakfast didn't go well with the volleys. I can't excuse the lad's that do play football :D

To be fair, most of the volleys were struck well and were on target, just straight at the keeper

I'd have to see it again to confirm it, but at the time I thought the keeper wasn't trying too hard to save the Barnet fan's shots but was throwing himself about a bit more for the Rovers fan's shots.

the keeper (ben) said he'd do us a favour as well. I won't trust a southerner again haha. It was fluid by Barnet no time for the keeper to react to next shot. Whereas we were climbing over each other at times
