The offside goals
« on April 20, 2013, 07:41:36 pm by RedJ »
Did anyone get a good view of whether either were off? Furman looked on to me but then I sit in the South, and with that in mind had absolutely no chance of being able to tell with the second at the death.

I thought the one at the north end was supposedly ruled out for a foul on the keeper

Fair enough. Another day nothing seemed to drop for us.

I thought Paynter was offside for the first, because from where I was he headed it square to Furman?

I was in the family stand and he looked on, the other player who knocked the ball to him (couldnt make him out) was suspicious. When the ball was played to Furman he was behind defender.

Then again, I havent wore my glasses in years.

I only noticed one disalowed goal, in the first half, and it did look offside.

We did score in the 90th minute (did Sully get last touch on line?) and it was offside as keeper went to collect and it got headed back over him.

Paynter headed it square to Furman who ran in and headed home. If anyone was offside it must have been Paynter imo.

I was in the Family Stand and everyone around me leaped up. I didn't, Furman looked a yard offside to me even before I saw the flag.

Are people on about the Jones header (was it Jones)? Went wide didn't it? I didn't see any go in anyway.

Did it? I assumed it was a goal as everyone jumped up and cheered as if it was before all pointing at the lino and sitting down.
